Nelowean "Tootsie" Norris, age 90, of Mt. Olive, Alabama passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2019. Nelowean was born June 4, 1928. Tootsie was a loving mother and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, a good friend to many and will truly be missed by all who knew her. She was a long time member of Fultondale First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years Mr. Billy J. Norris and survived by her two daughters Patsy (Donald) Sanderson and Monica (Randy) Williams, her two brothers Wayne (Brenda) Wadsworth and Calvin (Ann) Tolbert. Grandchildren include Dwayne (Kim) Braswell, Monique (Chad) Summers, Brandon (Mandy) Williams, five great- grandchildren: Annna Katherine Summers, Shelby Truitt, Caroline Summers, Brayden Williams, Kynley Williams. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the compassionate care given to their mother during her time of need by the entire staff at Kindred Hospice and a special thanks to Bragan for her attentive care and loving touch at this most important time, it is very much appreciated by our entire family. A celebration of life visitation for Nelowean will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A celebration of life service will occur Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. A burial will occur at Walkers chapel, Fultondale, Alabama.
