Morris Township: Mrs. Nell Welsh passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Morris View Nursing Home. She was 97 years of age. Nell was born in West Orange and was a 55 year resident of Wharton until entering Morris View Healthcare Center 7 years ago. Mrs. Welsh worked for Bell Labs of Whippany for 25 years. She was a member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Dover and regularly attended The Baptist Church of Netcong. Survived by: Daughter: Linda Zipay and son-in-law Edward Zipay living in Pennsylvania. Seven Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Granchildren. Predeceased by: Husband: Charles Welsh. Daughter: Donna Rudalf. Son: Charles Welsh. 2 Brothers: Joseph and Daniel McCrea. Sister: Joan Elliott. A private entombment was held.

Tenia el corazon lleno de amor para entregar a sus seres queridos. Era una excelente y amorosa hija, nieta, sobrina, prima y amiga. Adoraba bailar, cantar y llevaba una gran artista dentro de si. Luna deja a todos los que la conocieron hermosos recuerdos de una luz que ha de resplandecer en nuestras almas por la eternidad. Sus padres no se equivocaron al escoger su nombre porque ella es una Luna que siempre sera luz, una Luna que nunca se apaga, que en el dia solo descansa pero de noche te ilumina y donde vayas te guiara. Was born in Juticalpa, Olancho Honduras C. A. , on December 28th, 2004. Luna moved to Dover NJ, in August 2010 at the age of 6 years old. Her journey through life was full of light and joy for those who had the fortune of knowing her. Luna was the girl with the purest soul and the most sincere smile. She had a heart full of love to give to her loved ones. She was an excellent and loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She loved to dance, sing and carried a great artist within her. Luna leaves to all who knew her, beautiful memories of a light that will shine in our souls for eternity. Mary E. Ritzer (Morgan), 84, of Budd Lake, cherished mother of three sons, passed away peacefully after a long illness at Morristown Medical Center on Sunday, November 5th surrounded by her family. Mary was born at Old Souls Hospital, now Morristown Medical Center, in Morristown on October 19, 1939. She was a 1957 graduate of Dover High School. She then went to work for the National Park Service as the sole Library researcher at the Ford Mansion in Morristown, N. J. Mary worked with a number for prominent Authors and Historians at the time, and she found her job extremely rewarding. Mary was a lifelong resident of Dover until she met her husband, Augustus L. Ritzer, towards the end of the decade. Mary was married on June 12, 1960 and moved to Budd Lake in 1961 where she resided on historic Smith Family property until she passed. Above all, Mary loved her family and was a wonderful wife and mom. She was an expert genealogist who did extensive research and accumulated scores of documents and records on the Smith, Morgan, and Ritzer families. Mary was an avid gardener and herbalist. Her vegetable and herb gardens thrived throughout the years which came in handy when she was a 4H Leader in the 1970s. One of her other many passions was photography. Mary spent a lot of her spare time (and money) on photoshoots and the latest photography equipment. her parents, David and Alice (Smith) Morgan, and her husband Augustus L. Susan Marie Garcia (Dua), 65, of Budd Lake, cherished and proud wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully after a long illness into the arms of the Lord, at St. Clare's Dover on Sunday, November 5th surrounded by her family. Sue lived her life with compassion and strength for others and her family was the most important part of her life. Susan was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic on November 12, 1957 before moving to Parsippany where she grew up. She was a 1975 graduate of Parsippany High School and attended St. Peter's before that. She loved her job as a waitress at Hanover Diner where she met her husband. They were married on November 14, 1981 and moved to Budd Lake in 1984 where she resided until she passed. After waitressing for many years she was employed by Crum & Forster Insurance Company for almost 40 years. She loved the people at her job and made many good friends and memories through her years there. Above all, Susan loved her family and valued any time spent with them. She loved cooking and baking, especially Christmas cookies, shopping with her daughter, playing Rummy, watching reality TV, Little House on the Prairie, and Gun Smoke. One of her favorite things to do was prepare holiday meals for her family. Her mashed potatoes were a family favorite. Susan was blessed with three grandchildren whom she loved spoiling rotten with gifts and treats for every visit. She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Barbara (Basch) Dua, her sister Linda O'Boyle, her uncle Robert Basch, her father in law Jose Garcia and her two beloved pups, Daisy and Grace. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Jose Alberto, daughter Alyssa Wetzel and her husband Ben, her grandchildren, Audrey, Charlotte and Harrison, her brothers, Greg and wife Dorene, Ken and partner Cindy, Tom and wife Liz, Mike and wife Andrea, and sister in law Shari. She was also the aunt to 7 nephews and 1 niece, Garrison, Doug, Perry, Brian, Evan, Tiffany, TJ, and Greg. She is also survived by her beloved aunt Ginny and her husband Tom, her cousins, Jim and Karen and husband Dan. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm on Wednesday, November 8th, at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Wharton. A Funeral Service will be held 10 am on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Byram Twp. - Tomasa Gladys Cuon, age 84 passed away on November 3, 2023. Gladys was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2014 and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born December 29, 1938 in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, Gladys was one of four children born to Luisa and Miguel Valdes. She immigrated to the United States with her husband, three children, and mother-in law in December of 1967 searching for a better life. She found that better life in the small town of Dover, NJ where she resided for 40+ years before moving to Byram, NJ under the care of her daughter, Cary. Gladys was a person full of life with a contagiously loud laugh that could be heard above everything else. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a big heart and tried to help others when possible. Her culinary skills were awesome too! Her home was always filled with delicious food aromas, warmth, and laughter. There were numerous family gatherings at her home, and she would be disappointed if you didn't go for a second helping of dinner. Saying. . . "What's wrong? You don't like my cooking?" She and her husband Octavio having earned a well-deserved retirement, set forth to explore a bit of the world. Traveling to numerous locations domestically and internationally. They always said they were blessed to go on their journeys with a group of fun-loving retirees. As Gladys begins her ultimate journey to be reunited with her husband Octavio and with family and friends who have gone before her, she will be dearly missed by her family. Especially by her two children - Cary Dixon, Gerardo Cuon, and with their respective spouses Tom Dixon and Ana Cuon. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren - Amanda (33), Jessica (23), and Miguel Cuon (17). Till we meet again, Gladys/Ma! Love you so very much!
