Mrs. Natalie Denise Thompson, age 61 of Humboldt, Tennessee, passed away from this life on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Alamo Nursing & Rehab Center. Graveside services for Natalie will be conducted on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 3PM in Oakwood Cemetery with Bro. Scott Jewell officiating. Interment will immediately follow. She was born July 17, 1962, in Colorado Springs, CO; the daughter of the late Billy Wayne & Joy Laverne (Dickey) Johnson. Natalie savored her life, indulging in every aspect, and bringing joy to those she crossed paths with. Natalie’s big blue eyes and infectious smile will truly be missed by all who know her. She retired from Dyer Nursing Home as a RN and was a member of Dyer First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Michael ‘Mike’ Thompson; daughter, Katie Yarbro (Justin); son, Matt Thompson (Sara); brother, Jeff Johnson (Kim); and seven grandchildren, Jonathan Thompson, Ava Thompson, Avery Thompson, Aven Thompson, Salem Thompson, Oliver Yarbro, and Sidney Yarbro. Bonnie Jean Watkins Hadley, 90, lovingly known as Ms. Bonnie or Jeannie to her family, of Humboldt, TN, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023, with her family by her side. Ms. Bonnie was born February 4, 1933, to Rufus Floyd and Dovie Mae Meeks Watkins in Memphis, TN. After graduating South Side High School in Memphis, she attended the University of Memphis where she met and later married the love of her life, James A. Hadley, Jr. Ms. Bonnie got her bachelor's degree from Union University in Jackson, TN, and later pursued her master's from the University of Memphis. They had two children, James A. Hadley, III and Harold K. Hadley. Ms. Bonnie and James were married for 65 years at the time of his death in 2018. Ms. Bonnie was a devoted wife and mother. She participated in the "Citizens for Court Modernization ballot initiative". She was an avid member for many years of the Humboldt Garden Club where she took great pride in all their events. Ms. Bonnie was a talented artist and painted several beautiful pictures and canvases in her pastime. Her love of civic duty led her to present the "Milady meets the Professor" series to the City of Humboldt. Her love of fine art took her travels around the world with her favorite places being Egypt, Israel, Greece and Italy. Ms. Bonnie's passion for art led her to Union University, where she was a devout supporter of the Art program. Ms. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Rufus and Dovie Watkins; two brothers, Floyd "Buddy" Watkins and Ronald K. Watkins; two sisters, Helen Delores Watkins Redick and Joy Watkins Cole; one son, James A. Hadley, III, and her husband, James A. Hadley, Jr. Ms. Bonnie is survived by one son, Harold K. Hadley of Humboldt, TN; one grandson, William (Kylan) Hadley of Nashville, TN; one great-grandson, Anderson Hadley of Nashville, TN; as well as a host of friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, at 12 p. m. in the sanctuary of The Church at Sugar Creek with Dr. Greg McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the Hadley family will be held from 11 a. m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Happy Hill Farm in Granbury, TX.Show more

Ronnie Kendrick Walters, 77, of Humboldt, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie was born to the late Earl Milton and Lacy Mae Walters on December 30, 1945, in Madison County, Tennessee. He was the brother of the late Earl Walters, Wray Walters, Faye Black, and Polly Ferguson. After Ronnie graduated from Humboldt High School in 1966, he began a career as a factory worker. Ronnie married his high school sweetheart, Treva Bass Walters, in 1966. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on August 6, 2023. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and working on computers. He also enjoyed cheering on the Tennessee Vols and St. Louis Cardinals. Ronnie’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Treva Walters; his daughter, Christy Fowler (James); his son, Casey Walters (Holly); as well as his grandchildren, Chris Fowler (Molly Holland), Cody Fowler (Autumn), Dylan Fowler, Haley Grace Walters, Erik Walters, and his great-grandchildren, Cherish Fowler, Devin Fowler, and Brenley Hazlewood. Services will be held at Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in Medina. Visitation will be from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. on Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19, from 12 p. m. to 2 p. m. with the funeral service following at 2 p. m. Cynthia Lou Stockton McCann, 64, of Humboldt, Tennessee, died on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her residence in Humboldt, Tennessee. Born Tuesday, September 2, 1958, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Stockton and the late Rose Onita Featherston Bevis. Mrs. McCann was a member of the New Shiloh Church in Humboldt, Tennessee. She successfully passed the Enrolled Agent Test in 2012 and became the proud owner of Ermana's Tax Service in Humboldt, Tennessee. Known for her warm heart and vibrant personality. Cynthia leaves behind cherished memories with those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Memorial services for Mrs. McCann will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor James Elam. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, at Johnson-Williams Funeral. Ms. McCann will have a second memorial service at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2022, at the New Shiloh Church in Humboldt, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Don Prescott. She was a "Granny" to her fourteen grandchildren and "Great-Granny" to her ten great grandchildren: plus, eleven nieces and two nephews.
