Nicoletti and Brian Warner and aunties: Justine Lew and Renee Warner and many cousins and friends, as well as her "children" Mack, Bink and Canole. Rock Thomas Madden, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 23, 2023. Beloved son of Claire Ann Madden and the late Robert Joseph Madden. Husband of Maris (Pope), brother of Bob (Patti), Bill (Cindy), Chris (Chrisy), John (Anne), and Ann (Chris Thoms) Madden. Cherished Uncle to many nieces, nephews; also numerous cousins and friends. Rock attended St Francis High School in Wheaton, IL. True to his pugnacious nature he starred in numerous sports: football, boxing, wrestling and track. He was a graduate of both Outward Bound and National Outdoor Leadership School. He graduated from St Xavier University of Cincinnati, OH. Upon returning to the Chicagoland area, he started a number of career paths but settled on creating his own enterprise called Power Clean. As anyone who called his home phone number you would be greeted by a booming voice " ". Rock was a generous soul who loved nature, boating, dogs and all kinds of animals to include the elusive Sasquatch. Beloved wife of Vivencio+ for 60 years. Loving father of Nathaniel (Carmen), Nelson (Kimberley), Noel (Rose), Norine (Joe Bunales), Nestor (Susan), and Nerissa (Mark Hartford). Devoted grandmother of Lauren, Nicholas, Jacqueline (Matt Comer), Haley, Gillian, Joseph, Jonathan, Jason, Nolan, Selene, Jackson, Savannah, and Kathryn. Dear daughter of Eligio & Maria Fernandez++, younger sister of Macario+(Nancy+), Cipriana+, Victoria+ (Jesus Paragas+), Felix+, Fe+ (Saturnino Bautista+), Espiranza+, elder sister of Julia (Rupuerto Estrada+), Victorio+ (Eva+), and Benita (Reynaldo Mayo). As a nurse, she was a caring, compassionate, and concerned member of the community. She served as President to organizations such as the Philippine Medical Association in Chicago Auxiliary (PMACA), Manila Central University Nurses Alumni Association, St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary, and twice for the Philippine Nurses Association of Illinois (PNAI). Dionie loved people and they loved her. A gracious host, everyone was always welcome at her home. Her most cherished role was being a wife, a mother, and a grandmother.
