Nancy Anne Taylor Riggott passed away peacefully with loving family by her side at home on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Middletown, CT after a long illness. She was born April 25, 1944, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, the daughter of Frederick and Madeline A. (Dupree) Taylor. Nancy was the wife of Kenneth M. Riggott, Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, two sons, Erik S. Dill and Adam T. Riggott, four grandsons, Ian Dill, Kyle D. Villalba, Liam K. Beaudry, Landon A. W. Riggott, one granddaughter Amelia Dill, one stepson, Kenneth M. Riggott, Jr. , four stepdaughters, Beth Riggott-Turnage, Marcia Babcock (Sterling), June Greaves (Noel), and Rhonda Riggott Stevens (Michael), four step-grandsons, Paul, Michael, and Scott Blaha, Kenneth M. III Riggott, three step-granddaughters, Laura Turnage, Katherine and Nicole Stevens, one sister Kathleen M. Swanson, sister-in-law Ruth Ann Downer, brother-in-law Merwin F. Riggott (Pat), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, son Andrew K. Riggott, step-granddaughter Christine Stevens, and brother Richard Taylor. Nancy attended Mansfield, MA High School graduating in 1962. She retired from Travelers Insurance Company after more than 25 years of employment, her final position being a systems analyst. As a dedicated wife, mother, and breadwinner, Nancy devoted her life to homemaking and creating a loving family. She was an avid reader of romance novels, loved ice hockey, baseball, and music, and was an excellent baker and fantastic cook. Knitting and crocheting clothes and anything else you could imagine were some of her special talents, and she always gave away her creations as gifts. In retirement, she spent her time between homes in Middletown, Connecticut and Naples, Florida with Ken, having lots of family and friends visit and stay with them. Nancy had many close friends, especially in Florida. She enjoyed entertaining and always made parties and holidays extra special for everyone. Nancy received great joy from caring for and playing with her grandchildren. She loved all animals. She was sincere and funny. Above all else, Nancy had a gentle soul and was tenderhearted throughout her life. On Friday June 24th, family and friends are cordially invited to calling hours at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:30 AM at Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main St. , Cromwell, CT 06416. The burial will follow the service at Miner Cemetery, Miner St. , Middletown, CT 06457.
