Nancy Elizabeth Hostetler, age 69, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Riverside Hospital following a short illness. She was born on January 7, 1954, in Coshocton County to the late William and Beverly (Loos) Preston. Nancy graduated from Riverview High School in 1972 and attended both Beautician School and MATC. She worked as a weaver at Longaberger and sewer at Annin Flag Company for several years. Nancy loved her five grandchildren dearly and her loving animals. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Adam (Andrea) Hostetler of Santiago Chile, and Jesse Hostetler of Coshocton, five grandchildren, Khelci, Ethan, Ashton, Alexis and Martin; sister, Susan Preston of Florida; brother, John Preston of Virginia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's name can be made to First Step Family Violence Intervention Services, 647 Locust Ave. , Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Joyce Ann Rice, 66 of Coshocton passed away on December 3, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1957 in Coshocton to the late Betty (Wright) and Carl McGuire. She was a high school graduate and most recently sewed at Annin for 13 years until she retired. She loved baseball, cheering on the Guardians. She had a beloved dog named Charlie. Prior to her illness she enjoyed gardening. Joyce is survived by her sons, Dustin Rice of Coshocton and Del Ray (Kim Derringer) Rice of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Jayleighn Cunningham, Bayleighn Cunningham, Thomas Derringer and Nevaeh Rice; siblings, Kelly (Jimbo) Baker and Michael (Casey Dillon) McGuire. Thomas Apple

Age - 76

Thomas "Tom" Apple, 76, of West Lafayette passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at his home. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, at the Coshocton City Hospital on January 23, 1947, to the late Paul L. and Ruth E. (Ashbaker) Apple. Tom graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1965, Ashland College in 1972, and served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971 where he spent one year in Vietnam. He retired from General Electric after working there for 28 years. He was very active in the Coshocton Honor Guard and the Newcomerstown Honor Guard, collectively participating in more than 1,000 military funerals. He was also involved in Habitat for Humanity, West Lafayette Lions Club, Vietnam Veterans of America, Isleta United Methodist Church, and the American Red Cross blood donation program, to which he donated more than 14 gallons of blood. Tom is survived by his children the Reverend Canon Jason Apple of Sieci, Italy; Benjamin Apple of Newton Falls; Christine Apple of New Philadelphia; Rebecca (Douglas) Smith of Worthington; and Katherine (Benjamin) Miller of Taneytown, Maryland; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers Stephen Apple of Wooster and Dennis (Kim) Apple of New Philadelphia. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Dave Apple. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio, 43812 on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Dustin Lee Rhodes, 35 of Coshocton passed away Thursday, November 29, 2023. He was born in Coshocton, OH on July 15, 1988 to Amy and Robert Darr of Coshocton and Walter Rhodes of Warsaw. Dustin graduated from Coshocton High School and was currently working for McWane Ductile. He was attending Conesville United Methodist Church, enjoyed drawing and woodworking. Along with his parents he is survived by his daughter, Alexis "Sis" Rhodes; grandson Bryson Carter Troendly; brothers Buddy and Hunter Darr; nieces, Elizabeth and Atleigh Darr; grandmother Joyce Foster; and three girls he helped raise, Mikaela Vatter, Megan Jones, and Michelle Jones; along with their mother Audrey Powell, who was truly the love of his life. He also leaves behind his close friend, Kala Freeman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dustin is preceded in death by his grandparents Paul Stowers, Carole Rhodes, and Bud and Sue Darr. Esther E. Arron age 83, passed away on November 25, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1940 in Coshocton, to the late Thomas Clifford McIntire and Helen Marie McIntire Elson. She married her first husband, Chester Elson who passed away in 1966. Her second husband was Roger F. Arron, whom she married in June of 1967 and he passed in 1995. She enjoyed watching Westerns and old TV sitcoms. She was a Cincinnati Bengal's and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She had a companion cockatiel bird, Smoke. She loved socializing with residents she lived around, watching them play pool and having coffee with them in the morning and having social gathering throughout the day. She would call her children several times a day. She worked as a waitress, where she met her first husband, Chester and then later as a waitress she met her second husband, Roger. She loved to fish over the years, working word finds, puzzles, board games and card games. She was friendly to many and loved by so much more, we all will sadly miss her. She was a Christian and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church before becoming disabled. She read her bible often and she is now with her Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her children, Mark Wayne Arron, Victoria Lynn Arron, Michael Allan Arron and Shawn Eric Arron; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, and great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews and others. Along with her parents and two husbands, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank Roger Arron, grandson, Nicholas Patrick Arron and sister, Martha. Rachel Garber, age 89, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was born on October 29, 1934, to the late Donis and Mary Louise (Schott) Foster. On December 9, 1967, Rachel married Kenneth Garber who survives. She was a member of Prairie Chapel Methodist Church and was involved with many church activities including, being the church Treasurer, the church Financial Secretary, singing in the church choir, and helping with the Bereavement Committee. She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and reading both biographies and autobiographies. Rachel is survived by husband of 55 years, Kenneth, her daughter, Lynn Garber of Coshocton; twin brother, Richard Foster of Newark, brother-in-law, Raymond Wright of Coshocton and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Sam Foster and three sisters, Donna Kuhn, Jennie Laughlin and Mary Wright. Lloyd "Bo" Lawrence Ford, age 83, of Coshocton, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. He was born on January 15, 1940, in Coshocton to the late Lloyd and Goldie Ford. Bo was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and worked for the Beverly Drive-In and St. Regis Paper Co. for 16 years. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. Bo enjoyed swimming and traveling when he was younger, going to auctions and listening to Doo-wop music! He is survived by his son, Nathaniel (Patti) Ford, his brother, Edward Ford; two granddaughters, Danielle and Natalia Ford, step-grandchildren, Nicole Haines, John Smyers and Michael Baisden; several other siblings and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Debbie Lamp. Richard "Rick" A. McCoy, 61, of Coshocton passed away on November 7, 2023 at his home. He was born in Coshocton, OH on April 1, 1962 to the late Louis C. and Pat (Henry) McCoy. Richard was currently working at Wal-Mart, where he has been for the past 31 years and for the Coshocton Tribune as a carrier for over 30 years. He loved fishing, playing slot machines, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda (Myers) McCoy; children Stephanie (Tyler) Albertson and Josh (Samantha) McCoy; grandchildren Gavin, Landon, and Tinsley Albertson and Henry and Lena McCoy; siblings Gary (Diane) McCoy and Bryan McCoy; sisters-in-law Rita and Marla Myers; and brother-in-law Kenny Myers. Tammy Dawn Jacobs James, age 52 passed away unexpectedly at her home in Coshocton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Harold D. Jacobs of Coshocton and Kathy Van Sickle of West Lafayette, Ohio. Tammy studied at Central Ohio Technical College and graduated from Coshocton High School. She is survived by her Mother, Father, husband Kenny James of New York, a sister Lisa & Chris Whal of Coshocton, Ohio and Loving children, Taylor Dawn Dials (Branden Russell) of West Lafayette, Ohio, Katelin Dials (Brandon Lester) of Coshocton, Ohio. She also has 3 grandsons, Branden Jackson, Karson Russell, and Brandon Lester Jr. and Baby Lester on it's way. We loved your beautiful smile and laugh. You were a beautiful daughter and mother.
