Nancy Elizabeth Hostetler, age 69, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Riverside Hospital following a short illness. She was born on January 7, 1954, in Coshocton County to the late William and Beverly (Loos) Preston. Nancy graduated from Riverview High School in 1972 and attended both Beautician School and MATC. She worked as a weaver at Longaberger and sewer at Annin Flag Company for several years. Nancy loved her five grandchildren dearly and her loving animals. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Adam (Andrea) Hostetler of Santiago Chile, and Jesse Hostetler of Coshocton, five grandchildren, Khelci, Ethan, Ashton, Alexis and Martin; sister, Susan Preston of Florida; brother, John Preston of Virginia and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A cremation will follow with burial of ashes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Nancy's name can be made to First Step Family Violence Intervention Services, 647 Locust Ave. , Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Thomas "Tom" Apple, 76, of West Lafayette passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at his home. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio, at the Coshocton City Hospital on January 23, 1947, to the late Paul L. and Ruth E. (Ashbaker) Apple. Tom graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1965, Ashland College in 1972, and served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971 where he spent one year in Vietnam. He retired from General Electric after working there for 28 years. He was very active in the Coshocton Honor Guard and the Newcomerstown Honor Guard, collectively participating in more than 1,000 military funerals. He was also involved in Habitat for Humanity, West Lafayette Lions Club, Vietnam Veterans of America, Isleta United Methodist Church, and the American Red Cross blood donation program, to which he donated more than 14 gallons of blood. Tom is survived by his children the Reverend Canon Jason Apple of Sieci, Italy; Benjamin Apple of Newton Falls; Christine Apple of New Philadelphia; Rebecca (Douglas) Smith of Worthington; and Katherine (Benjamin) Miller of Taneytown, Maryland; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers Stephen Apple of Wooster and Dennis (Kim) Apple of New Philadelphia. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Dave Apple. Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio, 43812 on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, where the Coshocton County Veterans Council and the Newcomerstown Honor Guard will perform military honors. Esther E. Arron age 83, passed away on November 25, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1940 in Coshocton, to the late Thomas Clifford McIntire and Helen Marie McIntire Elson. She married her first husband, Chester Elson who passed away in 1966. Her second husband was Roger F. Arron, whom she married in June of 1967 and he passed in 1995. She enjoyed watching Westerns and old TV sitcoms. She was a Cincinnati Bengal's and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. She had a companion cockatiel bird, Smoke. She loved socializing with residents she lived around, watching them play pool and having coffee with them in the morning and having social gathering throughout the day. She would call her children several times a day. She worked as a waitress, where she met her first husband, Chester and then later as a waitress she met her second husband, Roger. She loved to fish over the years, working word finds, puzzles, board games and card games. She was friendly to many and loved by so much more, we all will sadly miss her. She was a Christian and attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church before becoming disabled. She read her bible often and she is now with her Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her children, Mark Wayne Arron, Victoria Lynn Arron, Michael Allan Arron and Shawn Eric Arron; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several step grandchildren, and great grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews and others. Along with her parents and two husbands, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank Roger Arron, grandson, Nicholas Patrick Arron and sister, Martha. Calling hours will be at The Miller Funeral Home on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11am with Pastor Jim Evans officiating.
