Nancy Getz Obituary

Nancy L. Getz, 82, grew up in Lehighton, PA and then married and moved to West Chester, PA. Passed peacefully on Thursday, May 04, 2023 at her daughter's home in Coatesville due to dementia and melanoma. She was the wife of the late Neil L. Getz to whom she was married to for 27years until his passing. Born in Coaldale on October 24, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Charles J. and Jessie (Longacre) Heller. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and keeping an immaculate home. Nancy loved time spent either on the beach at Sea Isle City, NJ or sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Surviving are two daughters Kim M. McCool and her husband William E. of Coatesville and Tammy S. Brant of Renfrew, PA; sisters Patricia Digilio and Lori Heimbach both of Lehighton; grandchildren Ryan McCool, Cory Brant and his wife Emma, and Kirsten Brant Falgier and her husband Matthew; great grandchildren Lucy, Katherine "Kate", Remington "Remy" Brant and Calvin and Miles Falgier. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Brandon McCool. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 1:00 P. M. in St. John's Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive W, Lehighton PA with Rev. Tony Pagotto officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held 12:00 P. M. until time of services in the church.
