Nancy Renee (Morgan) Black, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was the widow of Richard N. Black. Born on March 8, 1931 in Centralia, she was a daughter of the late Lamar and Naomi (Mochamer) Morgan. Nancy worked as a registered nurse for Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg since the day they opened the doors until she retired. Survivors: Nancy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Richele Abraham; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 children, and 2 grandchildren. Services: A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 6:00 PM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. , Bethlehem PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 PM until the time of service. Joyce A. Coast, age 82 of Knox, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 5, 2023, at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Born December 8, 1940 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Dow R. Hartsell and Libbie Seth Hartsell. Joyce was a graduate of Keystone High School in the class of 1958. She married James B. Coast, Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1994. Joyce worked for the Jefferson-Clarion Head Start for 30 years and retired in June of 2000. She was a member of the St. Mark's United Church of Christ at Monroe and enjoyed listening to television ministries, crocheting and playing bingo. Survivors include her children: Rick Stitt of Shippenville, Randy Stitt of Knox, Traci Phillips and her husband, David, of Knox; James B. Coast, Jr. of Georgia, C. Pat Stitt and wife, Tracy, of Callensburg and Jolene McHenry of Lucinda. Joyce is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Nicole, Shannon, Steph, Brandi, Markus, Kayla, Gloria, Kalyn, Tiffany, JT, Ashley, Patrick and Kiara; 18 great grandchildren, and a brother, Donald Hartsell and his wife, Sandy, of Henry's Bend. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey W. Stitt and a sister, Janeil Brown. Family and friends will be received from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. Anna Marie Newton (80) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by her family on November 23, 2023. Anna Marie loved spending time with her family, going above and beyond to make unforgettable holidays with great food, games, and fun for all ages. She was a very charismatic woman who always put her family first. Anna Marie loved music, and it was not uncommon to hear her singing around the house, usually making up her own lyrics. Family members always knew what to do in the kitchen with Grandma Ann's directions to prepare her famous meatballs and ravioli, passed down from her mother Rose. Anna Marie was born in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of Frank and Rose Testa. With a high school education, she ascended the corporate world as a Global Marketing Executive for products like Pantene and Bain de Soleil with companies like Coty, Pfizer, Hoffmann La Roche, Richardson-Vicks and Johnson and Johnson. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township. Anna Marie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Wayne S. Newton, her four sons Anthony de Santis (Bridgit), Matthew De Sando, Jesse Newton (Shawna) and Dana Newton (Katie); brother Raymond Testa (Sheila), and seven grandchildren: Magdala, Mason, Brielle, Paisley, Taylor, Ryland and Connor. James LeRoy "Boots" Schafer Sr, 54, of Ingleside, TX formerly of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 9th. He was the son of the late Wilbert Schafer Sr. and Gladys (Stout) Schafer of Bethlehem. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Michelle (Steiner), and children Yolanda Steiner and Zofia of Austin, TX, James Jr. (Nicole) of Bethlehem, PA, Alexandria (Josh) of Plano, TX, Siera "Cricket" and Reese at home. He is also survived by his half siblings, Wilbert Jr. of TN and Elaine of PA. He leaves behind his faithful Bowie along with Ringo, Achilles and Lola. His grand dogs Leroy, Bailey, Molly, Nova and grand cat Omen. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas. He graduated from Freedom High School (Bethlehem, PA) and went on to serve in the Army, in the Airborne 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade. He was formerly employed by J's Steaks and Subs on Stefko Blvd. for many years, Air Professionals, and Aire Serv of the Coastal Bend in Rockport, TX. He enjoyed spending time with his family, shooting at the range, watching his sci-fi shows and taking long walks in Lowe's with his ever faithful Bowie. John S. Polak, 96, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 15th. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen. They were married 62 years. Born in Nizny Hrabovec, Slovakia, on July 7 , 1927, he came to the US at the age of two and was raised in Coaldale PA by his parents the late Stephen Polak and Anna (Vargovich) Polak. He graduated from Coaldale High School in 1945 and joined the Navy, serving aboard the USS Boxer, USS Princeton and several other ships during and after World War II. He has been a member of the Coaldale American Legion for 76 years. He was a member of St. Cyril and Methodius Church in Coaldale and later a member of St. Joseph of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill, where he lived for the past 64 years. John worked a variety of jobs including Riebe Construction, a company that did landscaping work around the Lansford pool area, the PA Turnpike, Conway Rail Yard outside of Pittsburg and Bundy Tubing. Later in life he returned to school earning a certificate in tool design. He then joined Stanley Tools in Allentown where he worked for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. Growing up during the depression, John was raised with a strong work ethic that nurtured his "Jack of all Trades" lifestyle. When his many nieces and nephews were young, they were known to say "Uncle Johnny will fix it" whenever anything was broken. From carpentry, electrical, plumbing or mechanical, there was never a job John was afraid to tackle. For his retirement project, he restored his Pontiac convertible, which he had purchased new in 1957. Sons John S. Polak of Sellersville and Daniel S. Polak of Summit Hill, daughter Nancy L. Sanchez wife of William A. of Naples, FL, grandsons Logan J. and Justin D. Polak, sisters-in-law Jean Polak and Anne Marie Riepensell both of Allentown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John Dana Raybuck, age 76 of Knox, passed away Wednesday morning, November 15, 2023 at the Community Living Center of the Butler VA. Born January 20, 1947 in Beaver Township, Clarion County he was a son of the late Richard Nelson Raybuck and Violet Mae Elder Raybuck. He graduated from Keystone High School in 1965 where he played football for 4 years. On February 28, 1966 he joined the United States Army. He was very proud to be a member of the 101st Airborne Division "Screaming Eagles". He served in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967, and while there was exposed to Agent Orange. Upon his return to the United States, he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and was honorably discharged on February 27, 1969. John married the former Connie Lea Craft on April 8, 1972 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Knox. He drove truck for 23 years, both over the road and local, for various companies. He also worked at Knox Glass and PennDOT. John was a life member of the Clarion VFW; a member of the Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post #720 of Knox and a former member of the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club. To John there were only three seasons in a year: football season (he loved his Steelers), hunting season (in his younger years), and picnic season (as he loved to eat!). He loved watching old westerns on tv and playing cards, and was always happy to help others. Nobody was a stranger to him, as he made friends everywhere he went. John met every challenge in life head-on and with pride and dignity, never backing down. Survivors include his wife, Connie; four children: Robin (Rod) Heckman of Lehighton, Michelle (Mike) Roxberry of Knoxville, Tennessee, Brandon (Nicole) Raybuck of Bethel Park and Denise Raybuck of Knox and her companion, Isaac Ochs; seven grandchildren: Evy (Lawrence) Marinovich, Brock Heckman, Britton Roxberry, Brisha Roxberry, Lychelle Whitlatch, Cameron Raybuck and Bryson Raybuck, and two great grandchildren: Taydon Roxberry and Lacey Marinovich. John is also survived by his siblings: Marlys Baughman of Knox, Esther Montgomery of Sligo, Frances Matthews of Knox and Harold Raybuck of Clarion; sisters-in law: Betty Raybuck of Shippenville, Carol Raybuck of Florida and Jean (Paul) Peterson of Cochranton; brother-in-law, Paul (Sue) Mosier of Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Raybuck; sister, Shirley Raybuck; Brothers: Richard Raybuck, Jr. , Dennis Raybuck, Grant Raybuck, Neil Raybuck and Dallas Raybuck; brothers-in-law: Jack Baughman, Donald Montgomery and Donald Matthews and sisters-in-law: Elaine Raybuck and Katy Snyder. Edward Francis Kline, born on December 16, 1942 in New Castle, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 9th. He is survived by his wife Catherine Clifford Kline, sons Edward Kline and Brian Kline (wife Kristen), and his beloved grandchildren Charles Kline and Sophia Kline. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Kline (wife Lynn), sister, Mary Ann Kline and niece, Elizabeth. Ed graduated from Villanova University and started his career as a sales representative at the Kellogg Company in Philadelphia in 1968. He was promoted to various sales positions in locations including Watsontown, PA, Virginia Beach, Baltimore-Washington, Miami and Atlanta, GA, before taking on a product development role in Battle Creek, Michigan. Ed and his family moved to New Hartford, NY when he accepted a role as Senior Executive VP Sales and Marketing for the Salada Tea Division of Kellogg. After leaving Kellogg, Ed held roles in sales and marketing at various companies that brought him and his family to Fredonia, NY and Byram, NJ. Ed finished his career at Straight Arrow in Bethlehem, PA before retiring in 2018. Ed enjoyed spending time with family in Ocean City, NJ, the town he grew up in and in which he was fortunate to be able to share summers with his wife, children and grandchildren for the past 20 years. Ed liked bike rides on the boardwalk and taking his grandchildren for donuts. Cathy and Ed also enjoyed traveling, including many cherished trips with family. Ed resided with his wife Cathy in Easton, PA and belonged to St. Rocco's Church, Martin's Creek, PA. A private family mass is being held for him, and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
