She continued her education at Lincoln n University from 1951 to 1955, graduating with honors with a B. A. in Elementary Education. Her philosophy was, \u0026quot;I t is my principle to see all and say little. * Also, while attending Lincoln, Audrey pledged and became a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority 1952. In 1955, Audney moved to Los Angeles, California, to begin her career as a teacher. Her son, Gordon, was also born the same year.
