Clifford Leon Herrick, age 84, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 17th, 2023 with a smile on his face, sitting next to his wife of 64 years, Judy. He had been suffering with Lewy Body Dementia for the past couple of years. Cliff was born in Kewanee, Illinois in 1939, and lived a full life heavily invested in his family and his faith. He and his wife raised their three children Mark, Paula (Jimmy Sparks), and Kevin (Bonnie) in Rock Island, Illinois. Throughout his lifetime, Cliff had been involved with the Jaycees, the Men Under Construction church group, The 700 Club, Bethel Assembly of God, Heritage Church and participated in several foreign mission trips. Cliff worked for Piggly Wiggly which brought him and his family to the Quad Cities in 1964. He left the Pig to become a pioneer in the manufacturing of synthetic marble countertops and sinks, and finished up his career helping others develop and design their homes. His grandchildren Emily (Daniel Douglas, sons Luke and Miles) and Michael (Kiska) called him PaPa, and knew him to be a gentle and patient grandfather who was always laughing and playing. Cliff thoroughly enjoyed golfing, camping, golfing, choir, and he and Judy spent 20 winters in Florida, golfing. But his greatest passion was bringing others to know about the true love of his life, Jesus Christ. Cliff's family know that he's at peace now, probably letting God know how to polish those streets of gold. To to the family or in memory of Clifford Herrick, pleaseShow more
