Morris Jewett Obituary

Graveside service for Morris Jewett, 85, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. , Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Rosehill Cemetery. Pastor Zane Mitchell will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P. M. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the funeral home. Morris passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born January 9, 1938 in Johnson County to Howard and Viola Jewett. Morris married Betty Lorene on September 11, 1958 in Godley. She preceded him in death on December 9, 2016. He was a repairman supervisor for General Motors before retiring. He served in the US Army and was a member of Granbury Church of Christ in Cleburne. He was best known for being a wonderful Grandpa. Morris is survived by his son, David Jewett and wife, Bennie of Cleburne; granddaughters, Delores Davis and husband Rocky, Kristen Jewett and Laura DePriest and husband Billy; grandson, Jason Jewett and wife, Amber; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Devon), Jason Jewett II, Cade, Laura Beth, Resa, Brayley, Carter, Kamdon, Cheyann and Billy.
