Blanca J. Mendoza Aguirre “Blanquis” passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 80, in Frisco, Texas. She was born on September 2, 1943, in Jalisco, Mexico to Elias Mendoza González and Ana María Esperanza Aguirre Núñez. On November 14, 1970, she married Manuel Leonardo Balderas Flores in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. Blanquis worked for over 40 years at the "Tucky Tucky" ice cream factory, which was founded by her father in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. She was also a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.Blanquis is survived by her husband of 53 years, Manuel Leonardo Balderas Flores; her son, Manuel Leonardo Balderas Mendoza and his wife, Maria Eugenia Cuevas of Mexico; her daughter, Blanca E. Balderas Mendoza and her husband, Francisco Lopez Arenas of Frisco, Texas; her six loved grandchildren, Luis Manuel Almazan, Jesus Manuel Balderas Cuevas, Diana Andrea Balderas Cuevas, Valeria Sophia Lopez Balderas, Andrea Daniella Lopez Balderas, Paola Nicole Lopez Balderas; five of her siblings, María Magdalena Mendoza, Elias Mendoza, Jose Guadalupe Mendoza, Miguel Mendoza, Alma Catalina Mendoza; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jochen Karl Zugermayr was born on November 19, 1971, in Watertown, New York. He passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2024, at his home in Frisco, Texas. Jochen graduated from Madrid Waddington High School, Madrid, New York, attended Buffalo State University and started his career with Kinko’s in Syracuse, New York. He then moved to Texas with FedEx and a year later went to work at Toyota Corporation. He was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed science fiction. Jochen is survived by his daughter Kayla; mother and stepfather Marie LaLone and Tom Lee; sister Tina Flanagan and her husband Tod; stepsisters Jennifer Cash, Amanda Ferrarro; stepbrother Darren Lee and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sabrina Zugermayr and his father Jochen Zugermayr. The family will have a private service and he will be laid to rest in New York. "Patricia Ann Zacho Webb passed from this life on January 19, 2024, in Frisco, Texas. She was born August 7, 1964, in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late George Thomas and Ruth (Heinrichs) Zacho. Patty was raised in Cannon Falls, Minnesota along with her two older siblings, the late Thomas Zacho and Christine Zacho. The family operated a gladiolus flower business and Patty’s childhood was spent helping in the flower fields and assisting her father on his delivery route to many florists in the greater St. Paul/Minneapolis area. In junior and senior high school, she excelled in track and cross country along side her sister, Christine. She left home early at the tender age of fifteen and moved West to join her sister, Christine, who was living in Los Angeles, California. After several entry level jobs, she soon found her life-long career as a legal secretary in a small law firm. Over the years, she has held numerous legal secretary positions, generally preferring small, independent firms. In 1987, Patty became the auntie to her niece, Angeleena Zacho, who she loved as if she were her own. In 1991 she met and later married her husband, James Wesley Smith Webb and they lived together in Burbank, California for several years before moving to Allen, Texas where they both lived out their lives. Patty and James had been together 26 years until he was taken by the Lord in 2018. James was a gifted vocalist and Patty enjoyed accompanying him on her piano. In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Zacho. Survivors include: her sister Christine Zacho, niece Angeleena Zacho and her husband Richard Badgett, nephew Jeremy Alaynick, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be held at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home, 1414 S. Main Street, Henderson, Texas 75654 on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to service time. "Geraldine Louise Newton, 69, of Frisco, TX, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 in Frisco, TX. Geri was born April 14, 1954 in Refugio, TX to Gerardo Balderaz and Guadalupe \u0026quot;Amanda\u0026quot; Estela Contreras. She married Robert Eric Newton on December 15, 1978 in Victoria, TX. In her younger years, Geri formed a soccer team, named The Strykers - which all her kids played on and eventually she convinced her hubby to join in. This team was the foundation of many life lasting friendships. Geri was an avid lover of the ocean, often telling stories about her fishing trips with her grandfather. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving. For many years she and Robert were the hosts for all the family. Family time was the most special time to her. Geri\u0027s apple pie was the best in Texas, ask anyone who ate it. Geri lived to eat popcorn in the closet, reading one of her books while Robert slept. She loved all arts and crafts and would often perfect every craft known to man. Geri sang beautifully and often sang solos at church and in the choirs that she was a part of, starting at Canyon Creek Baptist Church. She was all things music. Geri loved all her dogs, from Mandy to Tinkerbell. Geri is survived by her two sons, Alex Gonzales and wife Tabitha of McKinney, TX and Dustin Newton and wife Samantha of Frisco, TX; daughter, Heather Gonzales of Plano, TX; six grandchildren, Emma, Cody, Andrew, Austin, Avery, and Harper; three sisters, Anna Fowler and husband Shawn of Clearwater, FL, Chrissy Gonzalez of Houston, TX, and Debi Flesher and husband Ren of Lakeland, FL; cousin, Teri Jeffrey and husband Doug of Garland, TX; and other numerous cousins. Elsie Marie Thornberry, 79, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024, in Frisco, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Elsie was born on December 8, 1944, in Lorain, Ohio, and was the only child of Michael and Marie Schneider. She spent her formative years in Lorain, where she graduated from Admiral King High School. Elsie earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Kent State University in June of 1965. While at Kent State University, she met the love of her life, Gary Paul Thornberry. They shared a deep bond and were married on June 18, 1966. She went on to receive a Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University in August of 1974. Elsie dedicated her career to education, serving as both an English teacher and high school guidance counselor, where she positively impacted the lives of countless students. Elsie will be fondly remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She proudly supported her husband, Gary, when he was a scoutmaster and her two sons, who both became Eagle Scouts. She later lovingly encouraged both her sons as they continued their education and academic achievements. She proudly watched Michael graduate from West Point and Matthew receive his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. Elsie enjoyed reading, gardening, cross stitch, watching Jeopardy, and her beloved cats. She cherished moments with her children and grandchildren, passing down her passion for reading, her love of cats, and the Cleveland Browns football team. Elsie is survived by her loving husband, Gary Thornberry, her sons, Michael and Matthew Thornberry, and her grandchildren, Evan, Reid, Carson, and Connor. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Marie Schneider. A funeral service will be held on April 10, 2024, at 11:00 am at Stonebriar Funeral Home, located at 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75033, followed by interment at Dallas/Ft. Michael “Mike" John Klein of Frisco, Texas passed away March 28, 2024 at the age of 78.  He was born on April 30, 1945 in Shelbyville, Illinois, the son of Celeste and Ethelyn Galvin Klein.  Mike married Carol Oller on October 12, 1963 and they shared a life full of devotion and cherished memories.Mike worked for Plano Independent School District for many years and served as Director of New Construction before retiring.  He also served as Vice President and Director of Facilities and Construction for Legacy Texas Bank.Although Mike was raised in Illinois, he grew to be a proud Texan. He truly believed and always quoted - “It’s not just a state, it’s a whole state of mind.” Mike spent his favorite days with his family - whether it be exploring the hill country of Texas in the family’s RV or listening to Willie Nelson and Elvis. Mike’s heart and soul was larger than life, and he adored his family. He had a punch line for everything, or as he would say, a “Texas tale.” Mike’s greatest joy in life was making those around him laugh. Mike will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
