Martha Lynn Deckert

Mar 13, 1952 - Feb 10, 2024

location-icon

Rosenberg, TX

"Martha Lynn Deckert, March 13, 1952 – February 10, 2024 Martha Lynn passed from this Earth into the loving light of a host of Angels on February 10, 2024. Martha resided in Rosenberg, Texas, where she was born. She is survived by her sisters, Harleen Copeland and Sharon Carolan, niece Holly Copeland-Lancaster, nephew Stacy Copeland and brother-in-law Terry Carolan. Martha was preceded in death by her sister Rita Deckert and her mother Martha Deckert. Martha Lynn worked for over forty years at Microwave Networks in Houston, winning numerous employee awards and commendations for her tireless dedication and excellent work. In her younger years she loved softball, and was an avid player. Though known by very few, Martha also had a notable talent for writing stories, something she loved, but never pursued professionally. She was a very sensitive and deeply emotional person who loved both people and animals alike. She expressed that love through her overwhelming generosity, and loyalty to all those she loved. Martha has been called an “Earth Angel” for the care and generosity she gave to those in need, but her help was always behind the scenes. Martha never sought self recognition or acclaim for her many good deeds. She was content to help in the background, with no fanfare, and help she did, in ways both small and large. Most often Martha would help others before helping herself, and just as often suffered her own hardships without wanting to bother anyone. Above all, she wanted everyone she loved to be happy, and she gave of herself generously and unselfishly in hope that they could be. May God welcome Martha, with his eternal love, into the Kingdom of Heaven. To honor the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to privately celebrate Martha’s memory in your own way – perhaps by helping others or doing good deeds. Martha will forever be with us all in spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martha Lynn’s name to the ASPCA or other animal welfare organization."
