"Theresa Marie Spellberg, 73, of Port Richey, FL passed away November 21, 2023. A native of Avon, Mass. She was a long-time resident of the area. Theresa was Catholic by faith and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Herbert White, Sr. \u0026amp; Evelyn Natalie (Cassani) White; brother, John H. White, Jr; 3 uncles, Joseph Cassani (and Karen), George E. White (and Eleanor), Elmer (and Phyllis). Survivors include her nephew John H White (and Deborah); niece, Traci Mahar (and the late, Robert); aunts, Theresa Houser (and Robert), Pauline Palardy (and the late, Edward) Geraldine White (and the late William); sister in-law, Sandra White; and a host of cousins and friends who loved her dearly. A Message from Those who Loved Theresa: "We lost someone a couple of days ago on 11/21/23, so I wanted to spend this Thanksgiving being thankful for the time she spent with us. Auntie Terrie was very much family despite not being related by blood. She was always there for me and my brother since the beginning and she was very much the Aunt that loved to spoil her nephews. Dean and I always appreciated it as kids but even when we were grown, she'd still try and spoil us when we'd ask her to keep the money for herself. To the people that didn't know her she may have come off as stubborn or short but to those that loved her she was always the one with the biggest heart. She always stood up for you and made you know she cared. She made the effort to learn our culture and it became part of her vernacular, she'd always answer the phone with a "Kumasta Mabuti!" which roughly translates to "How are you, good!". It may be a bit improper grammar wise in tagalog but the meaning was always clear. Not only that you could always count on phone going off on your birthday sometime early only to hear her singing you a happy birthday. It tears me apart knowing I won't hear that anymore. But I know she'll continue to watch over all of us now. If I ever needed assurance that she was still here with us, it was right after she passed. You may not believe it but when she passed her car suddenly turned on outside of her room in the hospice, I'm sure that her soul wanted to see everyone she knew one last time and give them all a proper goodbye and she'd be damned if she was gonna do it in bed! That'll be a memory that'll last forever! One of several I'd love to share. The fact is there are too many memories of her for me to plausibly share but I wanted to post some of them here as a reminder of all the good times we've had. So, Thank You and rest in peace Auntie Terrie, for always being our rock, and keeping an eye on all of us. We know that you'll continue to do so in Heaven along with Grandma Evelyn who I'm sure is happy to see you again. ""Show more
