Gregory Mark Carter Sr. was born on July 9, 1960, in Newport, Rhode Island, to Vennie J. Carter and Linda Carter. His family moved to Magnolia, Arkansas, during his early years, where he attended school and graduated from Magnolia Senior High School in 1979. Gregory accepted the Lord and was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church in 2020, right in the heart of COVID-19. Gregory was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he loved attending with his loving wife. He was a member of the Marines. He joined the Marines on June 4, 1979. He had an honorable discharge on January 12, 1980. He then went on to the Marines Reserve in 1980. Gregory was a very established truck driver until health circumstances prevented him from continuing his career. On May 20, 2011, he united with the love of his life. He entered early retirement and looked forward to traveling with his wife and family. Gregory also loved being outdoors with his family, grandchildren, grandkids, cats, and dogs and working with his cars. On Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the Lord called Gregory home for eternal rest. Gregory was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Ezell and Larry Carter, Walter and Helen Garrison. His son Kentrick Waller, his bonus son Johntavian Hill, godson Arlando Kmane, and his brothers from another mother, Larry Smith and James Cooper. He is survived by his wife, Janice Carter, and father, Vennie Carter (Marie); his mother, Linda Carter; his sisters and brothers, Jeanette Carter, Sean Buffington, Vincent (Carter) Johnson (Kentrella), Veronica Carter-White (Micheal); his children Reginald Davis Sr. , April Goode, LaTunya Talley, Marco Carter (Karla) Kiera Carter, Gregory Carter Jr. , (Laura), Broderick Carter (Destiny), Taylor Carter, Tia Carter; Kentrick Waller, Cory Carter, Sean Clark (Shelby), a bonus daughter Kiara Johnson, special cousin Lucinda Harris and Godson Darrell Dewayne. Gregory also leaves a host of aunties, uncles, grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sister/brother-in-law's who will miss him dearly.Show more

Edward Earl Phillips was joyfully known by his family as "Baby" and "Pee-Wee" by his friends. "Baby" was supposed to be the last child born of Pearl and David Phillips on February 3rd, 1955, in El Dorado, Arkansas, but God had other plans. . . . Three more children were born after [ Gracie, Barbara, and Maurice]. "Baby /Pee-Wee" departed his earthly vessel on November 3rd, 2023. Edward received his early education from El Dorado High and Norphlet High School, where he was a very popular, standout academic student & leader on the basketball team. He later attended vocational training In electronics and completed an electrical apprenticeship in Las Vegas, Nevada. He worked as an Electrical contractor for the US Government and Transportation for the City of Las Vegas. Shortly after moving to Las Vegas, Edward started his family, Marrying Cathey Thompson of Norphlet, AR, and in that union, they had one child: Edward Earl Phillips Jr. Edward loved spending time with family & friends, smiling, laughing, joking, teaching, and enjoying his life. "Baby" loved reminiscing on his advantages with his Family In Las Vegas. The family vacations, the music, the car racing, the sporting events, and the times he spent teaching his son life lessons were some of his most treasured memories. He was a very talented artist who created memorable works of art that family and friends will forever cherish. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish. He loved watching & attending sporting events: the LV RAIDERS, LA LAKERS, 49ers, Golden State Warriors, NASCAR & NHRA Racing were his favorite pastimes. He also loved spending time with his cousin & friend, Diaz Murphy. Pee-Wee was Small. . . but Mighty.
