location-icon

Danville, WV

April Rena Woodzell, age 32, of Danville, West Virginia, passed away on January 24, 2024, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 10, 1992, in Logan, WV. April is survived by her loving daughters, Alaina and Alexis Woodzell, as well as her mother, Drema Dean, father, Richard Dean, sister, Ashley Heeman (Robert), brother, Richard Michael Dean aka Mikey, step sister, Jessica Dean, stepsister, Kayla Dean, and stepbrother, Richard Dean. April grew up in Lake, WV, as a goofy, stubborn, and loving child. As a child, she would spend a lot of time with her siblings, getting into trouble, picking on our little brother, and she spent a lot of time chasing me (her older sister) with sharp cutlery and stealing my doorknobs. We would fight hard, but we protected each other even harder. We would create clubs and only allow the coolest of cousins to participate. We would spend a lot of time creating talent shows in our back yard and jumping on our trampoline or swimming in our pool. She always acted tough on the outside but had the sweetest heart when it came down to it on the inside. As an adult, that stubbornness never left her, as she was so stubborn that she wanted to live she fought the hardest battle I have ever personally seen. She wanted to go to college and live a life studying psychology when she got out of the hospital. She had many plans for this life that were never able to come to fruition. April spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, and even through all this, she fought so hard for life and was the bravest person I knew. She had 2 daughters that she loved more than anything in this world. Her love for them knew no bounds. She leaves behind a family that will never be the same. A graveside service to honor and remember April Woodzell will be held on February 1, 2024, at the Douglas Family Cemetery in Lake, West Virginia, on Oak Branch Road. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to Drema Dean to assist with the cost of the headstone and funeral services. April's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will live on through the love she shared with her family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, West Virginia. To to the family or in memory of April Rena Woodzell, please
