Mr. Miles Leonard Money,89, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living in Mt. Airy. He was born in Surry County on July 28, 1932, to the late Miles Dewey and Laura Mae Benge Money. Mr. Money retired from United Plastics after 50 plus years of service. He also to up the tickets for the ball games at Mt. Airy High School from 1963 - 2012 Mr. Money also proudly served our country in the U. S. Army. Left to cherish his memory are a brother, Alvis Money; nephew, Dennis (Lavone); nieces, Ann Burkhart (Chuck), Karol Moore; great-nephews, Cory Spencer (Melissa), Justin Moore; great-niece, Holly Busick (Brian). In addition to his parents, Mr. Money was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Beatrice Money, Lillie Mae Moore. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery with services conducted by Pastor Dennis E. Moore. The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:30am until time to leave for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
