Mildred Rieder Obituary

Mildred M. Deogard Rieder, 87, formerly of Greene Twp. , passed away Saturday April 22, 2023 at Manchester Commons. She was born in Union City on May 28, 1935 a daughter of the late Sam Deogard and Mary Ilconich Deogard Lynch. Mildred worked for Elgin Electronics for 20 years until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and visiting shut-ins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Rieder, Sr. ; her son, George A. Rieder, Jr. ; her great grandson, Alan D. Haynes; and three sisters, Jean McLevy, Marie Stetz, and Rosella Lee. Survivors include four daughters, Rose Mary Ohrn (Les) of North East, Ruth Haynes (Alan) of Waterford, Diane Wheeler (Dan) of Edinboro, and Lorraine Fox of Millcreek; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; one brother, John Deogard of Erie; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and entombment will be private for family. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc. , 5000 Wattsburg Rd. , Erie, 16504.
