First Lady Ruth Anne Vicks was one of five cherished offspring, born to the late Moses and ClementineBrown in the heart of Brooklyn, NY, on September 16, 1940. Her earthly journey gracefully concluded onNovember 27, 2023, at the blessed age of 83, as Yahweh beckoned her into his spiritual presence. She was born and raised in the vibrant landscape of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. From age two, sheresided on the very block that wove the threads of Yah's purpose with Earl Vicks, who was four yearsold. In Yahweh's predestined time, she met Earl Vicks in 1955, when she was 15, and he, 17. After RuthAnne graduated from Maxwell High School in 1958, she and Earl wed on September 27, 1958. A briefsojourn at the Book of the Month Club preceded her noble commitment to homemaking, later followedby a chapter at the Dover Air Force Base, where she gracefully served as an administrative aide. At a young age, she and her esteemed spouse, General Overseer Earl Vicks, Sr. , consecrated their heartsto Yahweh, through water immersion. They were baptized in the name of Yahshua the Messiah, andwere of the founding members of the International Brotherhood of Yahshua's Disciples for the FinishingWork, Inc. , and have been steadfast since its inception. As the First Lady of the International Brotherhood of Yahshua's Disciples, Ruth Anne renderedunwavering service, not only as the assembly's scribe for over five decades but also as the culinaryarchitect whose delectable creations graced the assembly's tables during feast days and special events. Her devotion to the worship of Yahshua's HOLY NAME was manifested through her diligence to rise earlyin the morning for Sabbath Services. A matriarchal presence was displayed both spiritually and naturally,and it was shown through her many acts of love and kindness. Her love enveloped the family, theirhome was an open sanctuary to countless family members across the passing years. Her earthly departure was preceded by her children: Deacon Earl Vicks, Jr. , Cheryl Anne Vicks, TimothyPaul Vicks, and Lydia Vicks, alongside her sisters Dolores Mitchell and Arnecia Brown. She is survived bythe steadfast presence of her husband, General Overseer Earl Vicks, Sr. , and an esteemed lineageincluding her children, Sister Miriam Wilson, Sister Leah Dickerson, Minister Karen Y. Vicks, OverseerCaleb Vicks, Sr. (First Lady Minister Latricia Vicks), Minister David Vicks, and Sister Donna Morgan (OdaiMorgan), her legacy continues in the embrace of 18 grandchildren Domonique Vicks, Anthony Cooper,Latisha Battle, Lianna Frazier (Zaire Frazier), Deacon Michael Dickerson, Deacon Caleb Vicks, II, BobbiMaleah Dickerson, Joshua Vicks, Calah "Sarah" Vicks, Naomi Vicks, Rachel Vicks, Qumar Davis, TimothyVicks, Paul Vicks, Jacob Vicks, Jordan Vicks, Matthew Morgan, and Michael J. Morgan. Her 5 great-grandchildren, Dezasari Isaiah Piper, Amani Green, Amiyah Green, Alani Alsup and Ezekiel Alsup.
