Mike had a loving heart that cared deeply for his family, friends, and everyone he encountered. Paolo Thomas Mazza passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023. Born in Springfield on April 29, 1928, he was the son of the late Angelo and Constanza (Villa) Mazza. Later, he became known as Paul to his family & friends. Paul married Paulette (Jankiewicz) and had five children. He was predeceased by their adored daughter, Debra, who he is now reunited with in Heaven. He leaves his children, Angelo Mazza & wife Tracy, Anthony Mazza & wife Phuong, Jean Santaniello & husband Ralph, and Sandra Trinchini & husband Jimmy, grandchildren, Carla Ryan & husband Jon, Ralph Santaniello, Rachel Mazza, Jenna Trinchini, Tony Trinchini, his namesake, Paul Mazza II, 3 great-grandsons, beloved brother, John Mazza, sisters, Maryann & Lucille, son-in-law, John Taylor, many cousins, nieces & nephews, and his love, Betty Simpson. Along with his parents and daughter, he was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony, Louie, and Frank Cimino, Paolo Mazza (for whom he was named), Angelina, Vincenza, and Santino Mazza. Paul enlisted in the Air Force and while serving in the Air National Guard Reserves, until his retirement from Barnes Airport, he traveled around the world for work and pleasure. Paul had a great sense of humor and loved to give people a reason to smile. He was respected and admired by all who knew him, but especially by his children and grandchildren. His love of family, country, and commitment to always doing the right thing, earned him that love and respect. He will be missed but remembered fondly as a man his family looked up to and feel truly blessed to call him their "Dad" and "Grampy.
