Mike Collado, Sr , 62, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Medical Center at Scottsville The Bronx, New York native was a former employee of Harston's Collision Repair and a son of the late Merlin Fauchet Collado and Barbara Lucy Pallone Swalef He is survived by his wife: Maudie Collado, Scottsville, KY; 4 sons: Michael Anthony Collado, Jr (Jessica), Lexington, S C ; Justin Collado and Jonathan Charles Collado, both of Scottsville, KY; Wesley Ruskowski, IN; 2 brothers: Rudy Swalef (Darlene), Indianapolis, IN and Ronald Swalef (Betty), Hampton, VA; 5 sisters: Jennifer Cardwell (Eddie); Bobbi Erickson (Gary) and Kristen Lucy Pallone, all of Scottsville, KY; Jessamine, Dunedin, FL and Amy Ariseenagi, FL; 10 grandchildren: Logan, Emma, Olivia, Norah, Brennan, Gavin, Maddie, Jaxon, Lincoln and Warren Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Connie Swalef Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery Visitation will be 4:00 P M to 8:00 P M Tuesday and after 7:00 A M Wednesday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home

The Scottsville, KY native was a retired truck driver for Ryder and Werner for 20 years, former owner of the Ashland Station and East Main Gulf, 20 year member of Scottsville Fire Department, former member of Allen County Jaycees, former County Judge Pro-Tem and County Magistrate, former Coroner and Deputy Coroner and member of White Plains Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Harold Springer Wheat and Karene Harmon Wheat. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Betty Lou Wheat, Scottsville, KY; 2 daughters: Jennifer Atwood and husband, Todd, and Patricia Keen and husband, Steven, all of Scottsville, KY; 2 brothers: Donnie Wheat and wife, Gail, Gallatin, TN and Darrel Wheat and wife, Marilyn, Scottsville, KY; 1 sister-in-law: Betty Motley, Scottsville, KY; 5 grandchildren: Taryn Nichols (Rob); Brooke Wilson (Michael); Jaelyn Keen; Bradley Atwood (Kaeley); Mason Keen; 3 great grandchildren: Raegyn, Lincoln and Kellen Wilson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 sister: Wilma Frost (Sonny). Funeral service will be 11:00 A. M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Stutler and Bro. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired maid for Mrs. Cal Turner, Sr, homemaker and former employee of Scotscraft, Krystal and Burger King and girls softball coach. She was a member of Oak Forest No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church where she served as pianist. She was a daughter of the late Tom Stone Blankenship and Allie Lee Jent Blankenship. She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Eugene Hanner, Scottsville, KY; 2 sons: Michael Hanner, Scottsville, KY and Daniel Hanner (Tara), Glasgow, KY; 1 daughter: Patricia Hanner (Debbie), Scottsville, KY; 2 sisters: Sarah Fox, Apalachian, NY and Brenda Shumway, Orange County, VA; 1 sister-in-law: Patty Blankenship, Morgantown, KY; 4 grandchildren: A. J. , Trace & Karcy Hanner; Hope Gregory; 2 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews and A special four legged family member: Duke.
