Miguel Mocevaiz, 78, of Port Isabel, TX passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pantaleon Moncevaiz and Josefina Ortega Moncevaiz; son, Miguel Moncevaiz; sister, Maria Paula Rosales+ (Guadalupe Rosales+); brother, Jesus O. Moncevaiz (Josefina Moncevaiz+); sisters, Maria Rosa M. Vasquez, and Otilia O. Moncevaiz. He is survived by Maria Magdalena Sliva (Elias Sliva +), Emilio Moncevaiz (Abigail Moncevaiz), Elidia Welch (Charles Welch), Hermelinda Aranda (Richard Aranda+), and Zulema M. Sandoval (Jose Ddaniel Sandoval). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 4:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p. m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 p. m. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 606 W. Ocean Blvd, Los Fresnos, TX with interment to follow with military honors conducted by American Vietnam Veteran's Chapter 1 at Port Isabel City Cemetery, Texas.
