Charles F. "Chief" Tighe, of East Newark, entered into eternal rest peacefully at the age of 86 on November 2, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City and raised in Harrison, Charlie served in the US Army as a proud member of the 101st Airborne. Charlie moved to East Newark after getting married in January 1960. Before retiring and enjoying time spent with much loved family, Charlie worked at Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, BMW USA, Frey Industries and Otis Elevator. Charlie was an avid fisherman who loved being on the ocean. He played soccer for the Irish American Club and the Scots Club in the 1950's and shared his love of soccer with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charlie was also passionate NY Rangers and NY Giants fan. Charlie had many leadership roles in the Borough of East Newark including Fire Chief and Council Member, serving for many years. His heart and dedication belonged to the recreation department and in March of this year the East Newark Recreation Center was renamed in his honor. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, loving children, Trish Sheehan and her husband Kenny, Teresa Saldana, Marian Krushinsky and her husband Steve, Charlie Tighe and his wife Amy, Susan Moscinski and her husband Joey, and Sean Tighe. He will be forever missed by his cherished grandchildren Dana Toal and her husband Brian, Chad Tighe, Courtney Goncalves and her husband Chris, Robert Tighe and his wife Megan, Kenny Sheehan and his wife Sarah, Jose Saldana, Patrick Saldana and his wife Stephanie, Stephen Tighe, Zachary Tighe, Braeden Tighe, Lindsay Tighe, Hayley Tighe, Hayden Moscinski, Gavin Moscinski, Olivia Tighe, Carleigh Tighe, and Alyssa Jones and her husband Isaac, as well as his great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Breaghan, Maddon, Kinley, and Kenny and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. He was predeceased by his Parents, Charles and Margaret Tighe and siblings Elizabeth Turro, Margaret Walter and Sister Catherine Tighe. The funeral will be conducted from the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday November 5, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm and Monday November 6, 2023 9am to 10am. A funeral mass will be offered at Saint Anthony's Church, 409 No. 2nd Street, East Newark, NJ on November 6, 2023 at 10:30 am. Anthony J. Kozierowski of Harrison, NJ entered into eternal rest at home on Friday, September 1, 2023 in Harrison. He was 59. Friends and relatives may visit at the Mulligan Funeral Home, 331 Cleveland Avenue Harrison, NJ 07029, on Friday, September 8 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning after 8:45am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church of Harrison on Saturday, September 9th at 10 AM. His cremation will be private. He worked as a Service Writer in NJ and NY for many years. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife Ximena, his loving children, Anthony Leonardo, Nicholas Joseph and Naomi Kaela Kozierowski; his cherished brother, Bill and his wife, Emily; his nieces, and his close friend, Antonio Campana as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Bernice Kozierowski and his sister, Joan Trovato. Anthony was the best friend anyone could have. He enjoyed hosting family and friends at his camper, toasting marshmallows on the fire, and enjoying nature. He loved watching the METS games and listening to Grateful Dead. His old time favorite group, as their biggest fan for many years, he continued to follow all of their tours and shows. He was adventurous and had no fear jumping into water. Anthony was a giving soul and will be remembered as one of the best husband, father, brother and friend one can have. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Anthony. Show more
