Dylan Fletcher

Dylan Fletcher

Age - 30

June 8, 2023

Dylan "Fletch" Fletcher of Westbrook, ME, born September 3, 1992, passed away early on Sunday May 28, 2023, peacefully, in his sleep. His celebration of life will be held at the Oxbow Beer Garden in Oxford, Maine, on June 15, 2023, at 4:00pm. It is an understatement to say that Dylan was loved by everyone he met, and he reciprocated that love ten-fold. No matter how long or short your friendship may have been, he made it known you were welcome and you were family. Family was very important to him; he always said, "Build a bigger table if you run out of room. " His motto was always "gather and break bread. " And he did just that at every dinner, BBQ, and potluck he organized. He was a huge supporter of the arts and music and encouraged everyone to just "do what you love. " Dylan was a member of the New England electronic-music scene for 10+ years and member of the Awesome Vibes Club with his best friends. He performed under the name DJ Moses, which is a name he acquired at a young age when the DJ seed was first planted in his hometown of Waterville, ME. The Flask Lounge was his second and third home, and he threw countless events there and all over New England. He brought so many people together and provided a safe place to cultivate friendship, community, and life-long bonds. His music and infectious personality will live on forever in our hearts and in our ears. Dylan's passion for the cannabis plant touched all who encountered him in his day-to-day work life. He was a pillar in the community and not only cultivated the plant, but the friendships that brought us closer together. He believed, deeply, in the healing and soothing power of the plant, and he did great work educating people and providing safe medicine to Maine. Dylan's love of farming and cultivation poured over into the kitchen also, and he enjoyed nothing more than gathering Maine's finest produce, meats, seafood, cheeses, and grains to cook for our friends and family. His grandmother, Kay Fletcher, cemented his love of cooking at a very young age, as they often cooked together. He had big aspirations of buying a farm of his own with a farm-to-table cafe for all to gather and break bread. He was happiest in the kitchen, behind his DJ decks, traveling and having big adventures, getting his hands dirty in some soil, dancing to music, and hugging his countless friends and family members, reminding them that they are loved and welcome. He is survived by his fiance Janice Rhayem, his parents, Linda and Robert Fletcher, his grandmother, Kay Fletcher, and his brother Jacob Fletcher. He will also be missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who are spread near and far. Memorial donations can be made to fullplates. org, dancesafe. org, and backline. care. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www. kaul-fh. net for the Fletcher family.Show more
