Michael Tobin Obituary

"Michael John Tobin passed away April 20th, 2023, at the age of 75. Michael came into the world prematurely back in 1948 and never really slowed down. His mother, Wanda Terry Tobin stayed in the hospital for two weeks after his birth, to recover and build her strength to chase him for the rest of her life. His father, John William Tobin kept Michael and his younger brother Kerry, busy in the garage tinkering with motorcycles, cars, trucks and anything else with wheels or a motor as they grew up. It was not unusual for the neighbors to hear squealing tires or revving engines at all hours. Michael was mischievous - from exploding garbage cans to the infamous bowling ball incident - he was never one to sit still. He was lucky to have many good friends throughout the years to keep him busy and recount (and exaggerate?) the stories and memories. Michael did a short stint in the US Navy. Soon after he returned, he married his wife of 53 years, Cathy Vincent. They had two children, Tara and Ryan. They lived in Utah, then moved to Visalia, California. Ryan married Mindy, and they have two sons, Cameron and Cody. Michael was a proud Union Sheet Metal Worker for over 50 years and traveled all over the western states working on short and long-term projects. When Michael wasn\u0027t working he loved fishing, camping, boating, golfing, gold mining, classic cars, going to car shows, watching old cowboy movies and playing Farkle. Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, May 15th, 2023 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia. Services have been entrusted to Salser \u0026amp; Dillard Funeral Chapel.
