Michael Ronald Stanford, 70, of Middlebury Center, passed away early Thursday October 5, 2023, at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport He was born July 3, 1953, in Wellsboro, to Ronald Ivan and MaryLou (McConnell) Stanford He graduated from Wellsboro High School and earned his associate degree from WACC On November 20, 1971, he married Carole Joy Downey, with whom he shared nearly 52 years of marriage, and raised two daughters He joined the US Army and served in Germany Michael worked many jobs, eventually retiring from the Hilliard Corporation in Elmira Michael attended the Shortsville and later, the Butler Hill Baptist churches Was an avid Single Action Shooting Society shooter under the moniker "Wild Horse Mike" He enjoyed hunting and loved his horses and horseback riding Michael is survived by his wife: Carole Stanford of Middlebury Center; two daughters: Heather Frey (Charles) of Roaring Branch, and Sarah Stanford (Charles Whitehead) of Middlebury Center; a brother: Bill Stanford of Trout Run; and a sister: Susan Christie (Richard) of Wellsboro He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Michael's life from 5:00pm-6:00pm Thursday October 12, 2023, at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home Donations in his name may be made to the Butler Hill Baptist Church 1141 Butler Hill Road Knoxville, PA 16928 To share a memory or condolence with his family visit www tusseymosher com To to the family or in memory of Michael Ronald Stanford, please

Mary Pam (Focht) Johnson, 56, of Wellsboro, passed away early Wednesday November 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. She was born November 25, 1966, in Wellsboro to Thomas Edwin and LeEtta (Olson) Focht. Mary graduated from Wellsboro High School in the Class of 1984 and worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Green Home. On June 23, 2001, she married Hal L. Johnson with whom she shared 22 years of marriage. Mary had attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wellsboro, was a member of the Mansfield VFW Aux. , enjoyed crafts and painting, and was an avid reader. Mary is survived by her husband: Hal Johnson of Wellsboro; five step-children: Sabrina Smith (Andrew Burkett) of Winder, PA, Samantha Johnson (Eric Stine) of Middlebury Center, Cody Johnson of Wellsboro, Sandy Clark (Chris) of Iowa, and Sheree Hines (Trevor) of Iowa; 10 grandchildren; a sister: Marla Wetzel (Matthew) of Mansfield; a brother Danny Focht (Sandra) of Guatay, CA; several nieces and nephews, two of whom she was especially close to: Tyler and Kyle Wetzel. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Steven Focht, and Peter, Randall and Mark Stevens. Reverend David Everette Blowers, 95, of Wellsboro, Pa. crossed over to his new eternal home on Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 8, 1927, the son of Everette P and Evelyn M (Janowsky) Blowers, in West Falls, NY. He was married to Elizabeth G (Garwood) Blowers in 1949 for 53 years and they had five children. David (and Dolly) of Triadelphia, West Virginia, Paul (deceased) and Barb of Belington, West Virginia, Ruth ZumMullen of Payson, Arizona, Daniel (and Ada) Blowers of Wauchula, Florida, Deborah (and Steve) Goodrich of Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania. After the passing of his wife Elizabeth (Betty) in 2002 he has been married to Beatrice Faith Gulnac for the past 20 years. He has 13 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren with whom he loved to spend as much time as possible and enjoyed during his long life. David pastored his first church in Elkland, Pa. in 1949, later assisted his father at Community Chapel of Wellsboro where he became senior Pastor in 1989. He was Chaplain at the Wellsboro hospital where many people received support and comfort from his kind, loving spirit. Broad Acres Nursing Home became a weekly place of Sunday church services and visitation with the residents since 1948. In addition to his preaching, he was also a teacher and taught high school Biology and Physics at Addison Central School, Addison, NY, for 31 years and volunteered his teaching skills, at Wesley Academy in Elkland for 12 years. David's undergraduate education and BS Degree was accomplished at Greenville collage and Houghton College. His Masters was attained at Alfred University. During his years at Addison, he taught tennis and coached the boy's tennis team through many regional and State Championship titles. His lifelong love of tennis led to him competing in many tournaments, including playing in national father/son tournaments beginning with his Father and later with his sons. He was renowned for his tennis teaching abilities and helped many get started. As a great outdoorsman he taught his family the traditions and multi-faceted skills of hunting, looking forward to hunting season each year. Down hill skiing was always enjoyed by David and his family as he taught them how to ski and volunteered, as member of the National Ski Patrol at Denton Hill. He is survived by his loving wife Faith and his youngest sister Elaine Blowers of Painted Post N. Y. He is predeceased by his first wife Betty, his son Paul, and great-grandson Josiah Goodrich, two brothers Donald and Phillip, one sister Priscilla Blowers. David's family has entrusted the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home 139 Main Street Wellsboro, PA, with his arrangements. Donald Andrew Colby, age 48, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He was born on January 16, 1975, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Robert Colby and Deanna (Brott) Bowen. Donald was a Marine Corps and National Guard veteran. He worked as a cook at McDonald's Restaurant and enjoyed gaming, drinking coffee, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. Richard "Rick" L. Champaign, age 65 of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at UPMC Williamsport after a brief illness. Richard was born September 10, 1958, in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Hugh and Rita (Bellinger) Champaign. He had been employed by Ward Manufacturing and Buttonwood Lumber Company, was a life member of the Wellsboro Fire Department and ambulance, and enjoyed auctions, hunting, fishing, his canine buddy Koda, and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his wife, Melissa (Rematt) Champaign, a son, Douglas (Nicole) Champaign of Wellsboro, PA; daughter Lynn Ann Champaign of Wellsboro, PA; grandson Levi Champaign; brothers Gary (Cindy) Champaign of Wellsboro, PA, James (Connie) Champaign of Roaring Branch, PA, and David Champaign of Wellsboro, PA; mother and father-in-law Thomas and Nancy Rematt of Hastings, PA; and brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews.
