Age 40, passed away and stepped into glory on Monday, November 27, 2023, after suffering a lengthy illness. He passed peacefully at Montefiore Hospital with family at his bedside. Ron was the first child born to Ronald Carter, Sr. and Cynthia Kerr, both originally from Scott Township and later from Dormont and Carnegie respectfully. Ron leaves behind his only child, Austin Carder of Carnegie. Surviving also is Ron's long-time fiance, Sarah Langer of Verona and step-daughter Maddie Jones. He was a brother to Caesar Tavoletti, Greg Carder, Doug Carder and Robyn Kerr. He will be deeply missed also by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ron attended Chartiers Valley School District for a number of years, but ultimately graduated from Keystone Oaks High School in 2000, where he was a member of the hockey team. He was all about the Steelers, Penguins and even the Pirates. Ron was a career cab driver for every vendor in the city at one time or another. He knew Pittsburgh roads all too well and transported some of his favorite athletes. He also played golf and liked to party. A bit rough around the edges on the surface, he was a big old teddy bear at heart, well known for being the life of the party, and was sure to have everyone laughing. He truly lit up the room with his sense of humor. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, December 2nd from 1-4pm at the Henney, Bradwell & Nirella Funeral Home, 524 Washington Ave. , Carnegie, where a Celebration of Ron's Life will be held at 4:00pm. The family encourages all those attending to wear anything Steelers. Ron could always be found in Steelers gear, so we can confidently say that he would want this. Let's celebrate his life and bring our team good luck! To to the family or in memory of Ronald "Ron" George Carder, Jr. , pleaseShow more

Christopher Weiss

Christopher Weiss

Age - 64

October 13, 2023

On Sunday, October 8, 2023, Christopher Paul Weiss went home to God. He was our light, our rock, and our love. He is survived by his wife, Felicia, and was the very proud and doting father of Eliza, Charlotte and Christopher O. Weiss. He was adored and loved beyond measure by his mom, Dr. JoAnn Bevilacqua Weiss, and his late father, Dr. Oliver F. Weiss. Christopher was the best brother ever to Drew, Bennett (Christy), Oliver and Jennifer Jo. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh. After graduating from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, Christopher relocated to Glenview, Illinois to pursue his love of trading at the Chicago Board of Trade, and to raise his family. Despite his successful life and career there, Pittsburgh would always be in his blood. Every year, when growing up, Christopher's dad would take his four boys on retreat to Saint Vincent in Latrobe, which always corresponded to the Steeler's football camp. As a result, he had a passionate love for all things Pittsburgh, especially the Steelers. He was a kind, caring and soft-spoken man who was blessed with many friends whom he cherished. Christopher cannot be replaced in our lives, but we are consoled by our belief that we will see him again and, one day, all be reunited with him. A Memorial Mass celebrating Christopher's life will be offered by his close friend, Bishop David A. Zubik, Bishop of Pittsburgh, at 10:00 A. M. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica, 300 Frazier Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 15650. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, please consider a donation in memory of Christopher to: Saint Vincent College 300 Fraser Purchase Rd, Latrobe, PA 15650 To to the family or in memory of Christopher Paul Weiss, pleaseShow more
