Michael Russo Obituary

Michael Edward Russo, 48, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County on July 30, 1974, he was the son of the late Michael and Roseann Gambella Russo. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Regina Russo; maternal grandparents, Ulysses and Catherine Gambella; and aunt, Elvira Turnage. Michael is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Veronica Russo; children, Antonio Russo, Mikey Russo, and Chrissy Russo; granddaughter, Amaya Russo; siblings, Anthony Russo (Karen), Uly Russo (Debbie), Gerry Russo (Ashley), and Regina Tesseneer (Rob); and several nieces and nephews that he loved very much. Michael owned and operated M & W Transport, LLC where he logged many miles on the open road. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Anyone who knew Michael knew his greatest hobby was giving everyone a hard time. Michael enjoyed the outdoors be it time spent hunting or fishing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Seymour Funeral Home. Please honor Michael by wearing casual attire when visiting with the family.
