Michael P. McCluskey, Ret. CPD, proudly served and protected the city for 36 years. Beloved husband of Nina C. , nee Boch; loving father of Patrick (Lesa), Jennifer (Jeff) Yokopenic, Caren (Frank) Fatigato, Kristen (Dave) Meyer and Brian (Katie); dearest grandfather of Michael, Frank (Ashley), Haley, Patrick, Alyssa, Catherine, Kaitlyn and Lexi; great-grandfather of Emerson; dear brother of Kathleen Groth, the late Patsy (the late Robert) Otvos and the late Mimi (the late Jerry) Falk; brother-in-law to Robert (Ann) Boch and Lawrence (Sharon) Boch; fond uncle to many. was born October 12, 1928 and was the eldest of two children born to John Henry and Eva Murray Stead in Philadelphia, PA. She and her family attended the Hatboro Gospel Hall where she met her future husband, Samuel James Rae, Jr. After attending Gospel tent meetings in 1939, Eva trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She and Samuel were married on September 3, 1949 and spent 52 years together while living in New Jersey and Maryland. Over the years Eva was a devoted wife and mother. She was committed to sharing God's Word with her children and freely opened her home to family, friends, missionaries and preachers. After her children were grown, Eva exercised her talents in property management for several apartment buildings in Washington, D. C. and later started her own residential cleaning business. Eva is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Eva Murray Stead, husband Samuel, brother John (Hilda) and son David (Maricruz). She is survived by a daughter Deborah (Vince) Bray and two grandchildren Caitlin and Collin. She was also a loving Aunt and Cousin to many in the United States and Northern Ireland. A family visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 9:30 A. M. until time of funeral service 10:00 A. M. at the Hatboro Gospel Hall, 23 W. Mooreland Avenue. , Hatboro, PA 19040. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Lauren Ann Boveri-Ballard, age 37, passed away suddenly on November 24, 2023 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ann and Robert Giuntini, and Delores and Louis Boveri. She is survived by her husband James Ballard, father Michael (Beth) Boveri, mother Linda Giuntini, brother Ross (Megan) Boveri, niece's (Kai (Kathryn), Libby, and Serafina), half-sisters Michele and Carolynn Boveri, Aunt Helen (Jeff) Callard, Cousins Nicholas and Arianna Callard, many more loving aunts, uncles and relatives, and her four dogs (Stella, Olive Oil, Max, and Jessie). Formerly of Elmwood Park, Lauren was a graduate from St. Vincent Ferrer elementary school in 2000 and graduated from Trinity high school in 2004. Lauren completed her college education at the College of DuPage Culinary Institute where her passion for food led her to become Sous Chef and Head Chef at local prominent, private country clubs and restaurants in the Chicagoland area. After nine years of cooking, creating, and growing her skillsets in the kitchen, Lauren pivoted her career to the corporate side of the food industry. She quickly advanced at Aramark and US Foods as a Buyer. Lauren was a proud member of the Chicago Club Chefs Association and the Orangetheory Fitness community. She participated in Orangetheory fitness 5K events, DryTri's, and other local community events. Each event led to a new personal fitness goal. She loved the challenges and rewards that Orangetheory provided her. Lauren was also an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs fan. She loved attending these sporting games throughout her life. Lauren also enjoyed attending concerts and shared all of these experiences with her husband, James, and many close friends. Lauren truly loved her husband, large Italian family, friends, and her four dogs. Whether it was cooking her signature meals (Pasta carbonara, prosciutto stuffed meatballs, and her famous guacamole), or giving small thoughtful gifts, Lauren's generosity always had a way of making others feel special. She was selfless and put the needs of others before her own. Lauren was upbeat, strong, loyal, generous, and knew how to have fun. Her positive outlook never waivered, even during the tough or unknown times of her life. She was a shining light that brought so much happiness to those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. She was born on September 16, 1965, in Chicago, IL. Dorsey courageously fought a battle against pancreatic cancer. Those left to cherish Dorsey's memory include her loving wife Sheila O'Neil, her father-in-law Patrick Griffin (Kathy), her mother-in-law Kathy O'Neil Oster, her sister-in-law Stephanie Oster, her former husband John J. Chambers-Malewig, her siblings James "Jamie" Chambers (Sheila) and Mary Lesniak (Jeff), her nephews Joshua Chambers (Kristen), Sean Chambers (Nicole), Luke Chambers (Ashley), and Seth Chambers, and her grand-nephews Samuel and Charlie Chambers. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Pierce Chambers and Marguriete Chambers. Dorsey proudly served the Chicago Public Schools for 35 years as an extraordinary teacher and library leader for the district. Her dedication and passion for education left an indelible mark on her students and colleagues. She was a tireless advocate for increasing students' access to books. Dorsey always told her colleagues, "If you always do what's best for kids, you will always make honorable decisions. " Dorsey's family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff of Palos Hospital for their kind and professional care of Dorsey and her entire family. Dorsey will be remembered as a radiant light of pure joy, kindness, charm, genuine positivity, and love. Her adventurous spirit and enthusiasm for life touched the hearts of all who knew her.
