"Michael P. Mazur Sr. Retired Chicago Police Officer, Badge # 21139, served with pride the City of Chicago for 32 years. He was the beloved Husband of Norma, nee Hartill. Loving Father of Richard A. Mazur, Michael Jr. (Shannon) Mazur and the late Charles Michael Mazur. Dearest Grandfather of Charles Mazur Jr, Ryland Ambrose Mazur and Makenna Agnes Mazur. Great Grandfather of Tristen and Evan Mazur. Dear Brother of Michalene (Vito) Galloro and Theresa (Norman) Kirkley. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. and Agnes Mazur. Proud member of Fraternal Order of Police and St. Jude League. Visitation is Friday, September 15, 2023 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Daniel the Prophet Church for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. "

"We Celebrate the life of Denise Kale who passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was the loving mother of Ismial and the late Izat Morrar and cherished grandmother of Damian. Loving partner for 19 years to Henning Nielsen and dear family to Peter and Tracee, Eric and Susan and 'Grandma D' to Lorelai Nielsen. Former spouse of the late Peter Kale and dear to the hearts of her stepsons, John Kale Sr. (Tina), Chris Kale, Brian Kale(Tawnia). She loved and will be missed by her Kale family grandchildren: John Jr. , Peter, Cory, Samantha and great-grandson Draven. Much loved sister of Sharon Patoska (Richard) and Daniel (Svetlana) Obrycki. Dear aunt to Andrew and Brian (Amanda) Patoska and Vanessa and Jason Obrycki. Denise touched everyone with her outgoing personality and love. With sparkle and humor, she was always interested in others, giving of her time and energy. Denise had an inspirational resilience and desire to live well. We will all remember her as someone who loved to entertain, dance, travel, and have a good time, but most of all she treasured her time with her sons and grandson. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Ladies of the Rosary, the Garden Walk Club of Crete, IL, an original member of Northern Illinois Gold Prospectors and a student and a contestant in competitions at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Mokena, IL. "Our hearts were broken when Karen passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was a remarkable woman who knew no boundaries for her kindness, loyalty and love for her family and friends. Karen was married to her childhood sweetheart Robert "Bob" Wasko for 52 years. They fell in love 58 years ago and will be soulmates forever. Cherished mother of Nicole and Kelly Wasko, she instilled in her daughters what every mother wants: to have your children love everyone unconditionally, be humble and kind. Karen was a loving and devoted daughter to Rose Marie Sirovatka and was preceded in death by her father, Charles Sirovatka and her father -in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Doris Wasko. Dear sister of Candace Mitchell, Nancy Glavin and the late Mark Sirovatka. Dear sister-in-law of Charles (Wanda) Wasko. Loving aunt to Michelle Warren, Tom (Kristin) Glavin, Mike (Haley) Warren, Dan Glavin and Amy (Brigid) Wasko. Great Aunt to Sierra, Allison and Patrick. Cousin to Donna and Allen. Honorary Grandma Karen to her bonus grandson. Loving companion to her dog Remi and her fur grand babies. Karen grew up in the Village of Summit and dedicated her life to serving her community. For 10 years she had been the Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police in McCook, IL. For 12 years she worked in the Human Resource Department at Argo Community High School District 217, and most recently had been a Trustee for the Village of Summit, a position she held since 2014. Karen will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her many friends, co- workers, fellow trustees and everyone in the village for her warm and inviting personality, her integrity, fairness, and devotion. Due to the severity of this tragic accident that took Karen and terribly injured Bob, after 7 months we are finally able to honor Karen and celebrate her well lived life. A Memorial Visitation in Celebration of Karen will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 West Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). "We celebrate the life of Araceli Hernandez who passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Araceli was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Central Stickney, with her loving, close-knit family; parents Rafael and Guillermina and her three older siblings; Sandra, Miguel, and Stephanie. Treasured Granddaughter of Maria Savala and the late Ruben Hernandez and Ramona Rivera and the late Juan Jose Navarro. She will be dearly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Araceli attended Charles J Sahs Elementary School. Graduated from Reavis High School, obtained an Associate in Arts degree from Moraine Valley Community College and had begun her path at St. Xavier University to prepare for her goal to be a High School Algebra teacher and Basketball Coach. Between home and Jalisco, Mexico, where she spent her summers visiting family, she spread her smile, laughter, and positive energy. The most selfless person in the family always caring for others even during her difficult times. Even during those difficult times, she still managed to spread her contagious radiant smile. Araceli never wavered in her passion of wanting to help people, recently becoming a basketball coach for kids and attending St. Xavier University to fulfill her dream of being an algebra teacher. She was always goal-oriented and was accomplishing her dreams right before everyone\u0027s eyes . She made her family proud with all that she was able to accomplish during her time here with them. Araceli graced this earth for only a short time but leaves a legacy of kindness, love and friendship. She was a treasure and inspiration to all.
