Michael J. Kelly, 73, of Somerville, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, June 10 at his home in Orlando, FL. Michael was born in Somerville, MA to Joseph and Maureen (Collins) Kelly on December 31, 1948. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1966. On June 5, 1971, he married Jeanne (Hayes) Kelly in Watertown, MA. He worked as a Financial Assistant at Universal Orlando for 26+ years. Michael enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was an avid sports fan, passionately cheering on the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Michael is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne; son, Derek (Cheryl); daughter, Paula (Cassie); brother, Phillip; sister, Mary Lou. Michael is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joseph and Kevin. Michael's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all of his doctors and the dedicated medical staff at Doctor Phillips Hospital. A Celebration of Life for friends and family in Central Florida will be on Sunday, July 24from Noon - 3pm at Sloppy Taco Palace, 4892 South Kirkman Road, Orlando, FL. There will be a second Celebration of Life for family and friends in Massachusetts on Sunday, September 11 from Noon to 4pm at Hibernian Hall, 151 Watertown Street, Watertown, MA.
