Darryl Dean Young1943-2024 Eagleville, MO: Darryl Dean Young, 80, Eagleville, MO passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 5, 1943 in Cainsville, Missouri the son of Cleo Dean and Mina (Reynolds) Young. On September 4, 1961, he married Donna Hale. In 1965, Darryl went to work at Young’s Garage in Eagleville, MO with his uncle Gene Young and he later took over the business in 1967. He specialized in doing body work on vehicles. In his spare time in the garage, he also did mechanical work and towing for the business. Over the years the business grew into a large towing and automobile repair facility that is still in operation today. When Darryl was not working in the garage he loved to fish and hunt. Darryl also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren throughout his entire life. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bernita (Young) and Cy Deshon, Juanita (Young) and Lynn Poush and brother-in-law, Darwin Hale. Darryl is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; children, Darryl “Shorty” Duane Young (Gloria Spillman), Bethany, MO, Darrin “Butch” Young (Julie), Chillicothe, MO; grandchildren, Greg (Kelli) Young, Josh (Megan) Young, Shelby (Joe) Bond, Brett Young, and Kyle Young and great grandchildren, Hayli Young, Brantley Young, Gracie Young, Evie Young, Avery Bond, and Cooper Bond. Darryl has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, March 1 at the Eagleville Community Christian Church, Eagleville, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Hobbs Cemetery, Eagleville, MO. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hobbs Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Laren Dean Thrailkill1966 - 2023 Eagleville, MO: Laren Dean Thrailkill, 57, of Eagleville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 4, 2023 at a Bethany, MO hospital. He was born January 1, 1966 in Bethany, MO the son of Laren Duane and Jean (Stevens) Thrailkill. Laren had a lifelong love of fishing, hunting, and camping with friends and family. He also enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball, softball, and basketball. Laren was baptized as an adult in Lake Isadora. He was good hearted and would do anything for his friends and family. Laren was dedicated to his work and took great pride in what he did. He worked in Texas doing tar roofing in the summer heat - very hard work indeed. When he returned to Missouri he started roofing and fencing businesses with his brother Lonnie. When not working, Laren loved to tell stories. He would talk about baseball and basketball games and all the happenings at work. He could make any situation funny. He was preceded in death by his father, Laren Duane Thrailkill and grandparents, Melboure and Doris Stevens and Carol and George Thrailkill. He is survived by his two children, Laren Dean Thrailkill (Shannon Morgan) of Olathe, Kansas and Ashley Thrailkill of Mt. Ayr, Iowa; six grandchildren, Brentley, Draysen, Shaley, Presley, Kaiya and Jadyen; his mother, Jean Thrailkill of Eagleville, Missouri; three siblings, Rod and Renee Thrailkill of Baird, Texas, Connie (Thrailkill) and Ken Hood of Monument, Colorado, and Lonnie and Tina Thrailkill of Cameron, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. At Laren's request, there will be a private graveside service for family at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Eagleville under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cedar Hill Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P. O. Elizabeth Dianna Brittingham, 72, of Eagleville, Missouri, passed away January 1, 2022, in Arlington, TX. She was born to Roger Fielding Porter and Laura Elizabeth Shields Porter in Pontiac, Michigan on August 30, 1949. The 2nd child of 8 children and the oldest daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents. Dianna was a graduate of Albany High School, class of 1968. She married Charles Elvin Deen, Sr on October 13, 1967. To this union 3 children were born: Charles Elvin Deen, Jr, Deana Rae Deen James, Jeremy Wayne Deen. Charlie and Dianna later divorced on October 31, 1979. On December 10, 1982, Dianna was united in marriage with Willard "Bill" Thomas Brittingham. He survives of the home. Dianna worked most of her career at Hesse Inc in Kansas City, MO from 1984 to 2010. She retired from Hesse Inc after 26 years of faithful service. After retiring she moved from Kansas City, Missouri to Eagleville, Missouri. After retirement, Dianna created and designed jewelry and opened "Eagle Rocks by Di". She was very crafty and loved to create, doing wood projects, painting, and making crafts. She had quite the green thumb, growing her plants and flowers. Dianna was a fantastic cook and enjoyed cooking big meals for her family and friends. Besides her spouse, she is also survived by her children, Charlie & Julie Deen (Liberty, Mo), Deana James (Liberty, Mo), Jeremy & Davina Deen (Arlington, Tx)Grandchildren - Colton James, Danny James, Jaelyn Deen, Maya DeenBrothers & Sisters - Roberta Owens, Margaret Byrom, Martha & John Shipley, Rodney & Donna Porter, Roger (Rhonda) Porter, James & Cheryl Porter, Gail & Chris Tennill. Nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends. Memorial Graveside Service and Inurnment: 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Grandview Cemetery, (Located at the corner of Hwy 136 & Rt. C) in Albany, MO. Everyone is invited to a dinner at the First Baptist Church in Albany following the graveside service. Doris L. Harris1927-2022 Eagleville, MO: Doris L. Harris, 94, of Eagleville, MO passed away on January 11, 2022. Doris was born in Billings, Montana on April 14, 1927 to Charles and Etta Mae Betz. At the age of 16, Doris left Montana when she married Gene Young, a young man in the Air Force. Together they moved to Eagleville, MO. Gene passed away in 1969. Doris worked 49 years at The Dinner Bell before retiring at the age of 78. Soon after retirement Doris moved to Rockford to live with her daughter Linda. Doris was one of the first members of The Eastern Star and an extremely active participant in the organization. Doris is survived by her daughters, Linda LaBonne and Carol Sue (Robert) St. Vincent; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Alice (Late Roland) Fletcher; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Etta Mae Betz; Children, Sharon DeLong and Larry Young; six siblings. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Friday, January, 21 at Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Burial will follow in Glaze Cemetery, Cainsville, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
