Michael R. Dwinchick, 75, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Coatesville Veteran's Hospital. Michael was born in November 3 rd , 1947 to the late John and Victoria (Patrick) Dwinchick. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. Michael was a graduate of Pottstown High School and later retired from Acme Markets. In his free time, he enjoyed watching and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. He is survived by his sister, Mary Kedra, two nieces, Jacqueline Kedra Harris, Lisa Dwinchick, and three nephews, John Dwinchick, Brian Geary and Kevin Geary, along with many great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Michael is predeceased by a sister Sandra Geary, brother, Daniel Dwinchick, niece, Tina Kedra Valko and nephews William Kedra and Kenneth Kedra. A viewing will be held on Friday, September 15th, 2023 from 10 a. m. to 11 a. m. at the Warker~Troutman Funeral Home Inc, Pottstown. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a. m. Burial will follow on St. John's Byzantine Cemetery, Pottstown. Warker~Troutman Funeral Home inc is honored to serve the Dwinchick family.

Frank G. Suruskie, 89, of Sinking Spring, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Country Meadows of Wyomissing. He was the widower of Nancy L. (Holdeman) Suruskie who died on August 27, 2017. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Agnes (Sasser) Suruskie. He was employed by Carpenter Technology Corporation as an ESR panel operator for 37 years, retiring in 1996. Frank served our nation proudly and valiantly in the US Marines. Frank derived great pleasure from engaging in card games, particularly poker and Uno, where he would challenge his grandchildren to a fair and honest match, never intentionally allowing them to win. Additionally, he found joy in testing his luck at the casino. He was a member of the Sinking Spring Fire Company and Penn Wyn Motor Association. Frank's commitment to hard work has left a lasting impression on his children, who credit him for their own strong work ethics and will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff at Country Meadows and Grane Hospice for their dedicated care of Frank. Frank is survived by five children: Risa N. Quarantotto, Spring Twp. ; Bradley K. , husband of Patti Suruskie, Exeter Twp. ; Steven F. , husband of Sharon K. Suruskie, Sinking Spring; Trisha J. Ferro, companion of Randall Schindewolf, Wernersville; and Holly A. , wife of Victor Berube, Kenhorst; nine grandchildren: Tony, Gina, Nick, Kristen, Tyler, Heather, Carly, Vincent, and Joshua; nine great-grandchildren: Micah, Bella, Leland, Layson, Carter, Niko, Willow, Vincent, Jr. , and Sophia. All are welcome to attend a visitation on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 12:00 to 1:00 p. m. followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p. m. at Edward J. Margaret Loeper

Margaret Jean Loeper, 89, formerly of Reading, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, in the care of Country Meadows. She was the loving widow of John "Chick" E. Loeper, who passed away on January 13, 2021. Born in Reading, Jean was a daughter of the late Irvin W. and Margaret (Hallowell) Henry. Jean graduated from Central Catholic in 1952 and soon married her sweetheart, Chick. They met when he asked her to be his prom date. During their 65 wonderful years of marriage, they gave their family a legacy of love. Jean loved to dance and jitterbug with her husband, especially to "Sweet Caroline. " Her first job was with Bell Telephone where she worked as a public office representative from 1952 to 1956 when she left the workforce to raise a family. She was a deeply devoted wife and mother who volunteered countless hours with the St. Joseph School's Mothers' Club. She served as the Mother's Club President from 1964-66 and from 1978-80. Even after her children were no longer students, she served as a board member for the Central Catholic High School Mothers' Club. After her children were grown, she started a career as a school secretary. She served many years with Reading School District and with Central Catholic High School and retired in 1998 from Reading. Jean's Catholic faith was extremely important to her, and she joined St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church upon her marriage. She served as lector and as a Eucharistic Minister. During her later years she volunteered in the gift shop of St. Joseph's Hospital. From the time she was a little girl, Jean treasured family vacations to Stone Harbor, NJ, a tradition she passed on to her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to join her family. Jean's memory will be forever cherished by her children: Kathleen A. , wife of Jonathan F. Tobias, CAPT, USN (Ret. ), of Williamsburg, VA; Steven J. , husband of Beth A. Loeper, of Boston, MA; and John H. , husband of Jennifer K. Loeper, of Coatesville, PA; her grandchildren: Lauren E. , wife of Spencer Custis; Megan K. , wife of James Zolty; Dean S. Loeper; Meredith L. Tobias; Nicholas E. Loeper; Jack D. Loeper; and Penelope G. Loeper; and her great grandchildren, Stella and Kate Custis and Maddie and Peter Zolty. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her great grandson, Henry Custis, and her sister, Mary Jane Hill. Melva J. (Wanner) Guinther, 82, of Ephrata Township, went to Heaven to be with the love of her life, Sonny, and their son who passed away in 1993, on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Ephrata Manor. She was the loving wife to Donald F. "Sonny" Guinther until his passing in 2019. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Henry and Dorothy (Wade) Wanner. After her schooling, Melva worked as a candy packer with R. M. Palmer Company until her retirement. Melva's love of coffee and bingo brought joy to her life. She also loved fishing and the peacefulness it brought. She will be missed by her daughter, April, wife of Earl Eveland, of Reinholds; her granddaughter, Britney, wife of Christopher Lutz, of Ephrata; and her great grandchildren, Lawson and Lydia. Thomas J. Kneale, Jr, 93, passed away at Reading Hospital on November 25, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Gladys (Shields) Kneale. He served in the United States Army as well as the Marines. He was self-employed, owning and operating his own plumbing business, Kneale Brothers Plumbing, in the Phoenixville area for 30 years. Thomas was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sinking Spring. He was a nature enthusiast. He enjoyed taking walks and hiking, fishing, hunting and shooting trap. He will be remembered for his charming smile and sense of humor. He cherished any time he got to spend with his family and friends. Left to treasure Thomas's memory are his significant other, Kathleen Aldin; step-daughters: Darlene Flood (Thomas), April Sykes, and Esther Cummings (Robert); his nephews: Robert and William Kneale; his grandchildren: Karen, Suzi, and Ian; and his six great grandchildren. Anthony F. Levan, Jr. , 41 peacefully passed away at his residence on November 22nd, 2023. Anthony, Jr. was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania on April 2nd, 1982 to Anthony F. Levan Sr. and Kimberly (Leopold) Levan. There were many things Anthony, Jr. loved to do in his spare time, some include; playing video games, going fishing, listening to music, and can't forget his late-night strolls. Left to cherish his memories along with his parents are children; Jasta and Wyatt Rokita, siblings; Kelli and Angelle Levan, and a host of aunts and uncles who loved him dearly. Catherine C. (Shemansky) Keck, wife of the late Earl A. Keck, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Martha (Greis) Shemansky. Catherine grew up in Stowe and graduated from St. Pius X High School. She worked for many years as a secretary at Valley Forge Army Hospital in Phoenixville, where she met her husband, Earl. Catherine was very active at the West End Fire Company, where she served as a secretary. She was a member of several local organizations including St. Gabriel's Lodge, Holy Trinity, and the Knights of Columbus. Catherine enjoyed playing shuffleboard, crocheting, bingo, and baking. She loved watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, and Dateline. She was also a faithful member of her church, St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother in Stowe. Catherine is survived by her daughters; Martha "Marty" Krupiak (husband David), Kathleen Parks (husband Daniel), Peggy Lee Levy (husband Natan), Patricia Norwood (husband Russell), a brother, Joseph Shemansky (wife Nikki), thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11 a. m. at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother, 127 Howard Street, Stowe. Visitation will be prior to Mass from 10 a. m. till 11 a. m. in the Church. Burial will follow Mass in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Pottstown. Lorraine Moore, 73, passed away on November 22, 2023. She was the loving wife of Millard Moore. They married in October 1991, and shared 32 years together. Born in Chester, she was the daughter of the late Nellie and Arthur Lunness. She graduated from Chester High School. Lorraine worked in the billing department for Mercy Home Health until her retirement. She will be remembered for her love of movies and television, especially General Hospital. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, and taking trips to the casino. In addition to her husband, Millard, her memory will be cherished by her son, Lewis Goodman; her grandchildren Lewis, Zachary, Hannah, and Sydney; as well as her great-granddaughter, Isla. Lorraine is predeceased by her first husband, Lewis Goodman, Sr. ; brothers: Arthur and Richard; and sister, Florence Petras. Michael "Mike" Mandich, 39, passed away unexpectedly. Born in Reading, he was the beloved son of Annette Heydt and the late Keith Mandich. Mike attended school at Governor Mifflin and went on to specialize in welding. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding dirt bikes and e-bikes, four wheeling, fishing, and cooking. Mike also found joy in visiting flea markets. In addition, he attended church. Above all, Mike cherished spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his charming smile and his love of the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his mother, those left to treasure his memory are his step-father, Douglas Heydt, Jr. ; step siblings, Jennifer Good and Douglas Heydt III; aunts, Marianne LeBlanc, partner of John Eisenbise, and Linda Cucinotta; step-aunt, Alison Wilkins; uncles, Francis McCaul and David McCaul, wife of Barbara; cousins: Francis Morrissey III, Matt LeBlanc and Jaqcqueline LeBlanc; and a step-cousin, Courtney (Wilkins) Hoover. Campbell, who passed away July 30, 2014. Her parents were the late Thomas W. and Dorothy V. (Chapman) Hirschbiel. Justina is survived by her daughter, Mary Patricia, spouse of R. Bruce Mayhugh, of Knoxville, TN; sons: David of Miramar, FL; C. Frederick, spouse of Teri, of Williamsburg, MI; and Dennis, spouse of Robin, of Leesport; grandchildren: Kristin (Ian) Good, Kyle (Rosemarie) Campbell, Sara (Cody) Bachman; and Katie Campbell; great grandchildren, Luke, McKena, Theodore ("Teddy"), and Eloise; and her sister, Lorraine Bangert of Ft. Wayne, IN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Jeffery; two sisters, Mona and Jacqueline; and her brother, Gordon. Justina's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the endless list of individuals who met her, befriended her, knew her, shared life and laughter with her. Know that she appreciated all and often remarked that you were "angels on her shoulder".
