Michael Dowell Obituary

Mr. Michael Steven Dowell, age 71, of Pfafftown, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Michael was born July 11, 1951, in Mount Airy, North Carolina to the late Betty Jean Williamson Dowell and Charles Howard Dowell. Michael was a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Surviving is his wife, Judy Culler Dowell; his daughter, Jessica Dowell Gajewski and husband, Adam Gajewski; his grandson, Maverick James Gajewski; his brother-in-law Randy Culler and wife Denise Floyd Connolly; brother-in-law Jeffrey Blake Culler and wife, Deborah Easter Culler; his niece, Amanda Marie Culler and his nephew, Adam Blake Culler; and his half-sister Jamie Dowell Young; as well as several aunts and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy with Rev. Larry Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
