Michael Adams Obituary

Michael Eugene Adams, 66, Kokomo, passed away at 6:48 pm Saturday, April 15, 2023, at I. U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 21, 1956, in Kokomo, the son of the late Thomas & Berneda June (Gang) Adams. Michael served with the United States Navy as a medic. He earned his bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Psychology from Indiana University at Kokomo. He worked as a peer counselor for both IUK and Bona Vista. Michael enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, rock climbing, geology and collecting Native American items. Michael is survived by his children, Michael Adams and Stephanie (Ron) Lanning; grandchildren, Calvin Adams, Kaela Adams, Athena Harding, Michael Adams, Ashton Adams and Jaiden Lanning; great-grandchildren, Souleene Adams, River Adams, Mariam Rasmouni, along with one on the way; and brother, Gary Adams. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy; and daughter, Tulare Adams. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Marion National Cemetery with Pastor Paul Sutherland officiating. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
