Obituary Merrylin Trethewey, died peacefully in her home in Granger, IN on September 10, 2023. Born on October 13, 1940 in South Bend, the daughter of Andrew V. and Alice F. Brant-Priest. Merrylin is survived by her spouse, Joesph "Tom" Trethewey married 64 years, her children Brad and Carol Trethewey, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings Bruce and Laura. Merrylin demonstrated her love of life through her many passions. She enjoyed performative arts, being a member of the Guys and Dolls dance club, and performed baton twirling and hula (Hawaiian dance). Merrylin also found joy managing offices, kitchens, gardening, and pit-crews. Merrylin's life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family. Her effervescent smile, infectious laughter, and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, who will remember her as a beacon of love, joy, and kindness. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p. m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 915 N. Ironwood Dr. South Bend, IN 46615.
