JASPER- Melvin Paul Gallatin, 73, of Jasper, Michigan died on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home with his daughters by his side. Born on February 28, 1949 in Adrian, he was the son of Herschel Spencer and Edith Jane (Lemley) Gallatin. Melvin graduated from Deerfield High School with the Class of 1967. During his lifetime, Melvin was employed at the Daily Telegram, Zephyrs Gas Station, Fayette Tubular and Shrader Tire & Oil. He enjoyed snowmobiling, driving his semi-truck and going to flea markets with his siblings. Melvin is survived by his daughters, Melanie (Mike) Nightingale and Melissa (Travis) Timar; grandchildren, Silas, Anna, Leo and Archer; and siblings, Shirley MacBeth and Raymond Gallatin; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lawrence and Howard Gallatin, Helena Kohler and a brother, Eugene in infancy.
