Naomi Ruth Goins, 85 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Bethesda Health Care Center. Naomi was born Monday, November 21, 1938, in Woodbury, Tennessee, and she was the daughter of the late Frank Richard Holt and the late Zadie Pearl (Williams) Holt. Naomi was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Granny WhoWho, aunt, and friend. She found laughter in nearly everything and especially loved her family. She was very religious and attended Friendship Church - Cookeville until she couldn't. She liked to sew, do home renovations, gardening, and was a very good cook. Naomi was loved by those who knew her and she will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Bethesda Health Care and Rehabilitation Center and Gentiva Hospice for their quality of care of Naomi. Naomi is survived by her daughter, Lisa Judd, and her husband, Terry; 4 Grandchildren, Jeremy Judd, Kisha Goins, Nikki Goins, and Jonathan Goins; 6 Great-Grandchildren, Elliot Judd, Christopher Reed, Brody Sells, Allie Coleman, Talan Phy, and Braxton Goins; Special "Daughter-In-Law", Towania Clark; Brother, Randall Holt and his wife, Judy; Sister-In-Law, Peggy Ferrell and her husband David; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Goins; Son, Mark Goins. Allen was born Wednesday, January 20, 1943, in Lecompte, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Will Alvin Tarver and the late Agnes (Powell) Tarver. Allen was a loving son, brother, husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend. He loved woodworking, his church, his family, and his friends. He was a great storyteller, enjoyed pulling pranks, and never met a stranger. Allen was loved by those who knew him and he will be greatly missed. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, everyone will meet at the cemetery for the service.Mr. Carr died Sunday morning, February 25, 2024 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.He was born April 6, 1960 in Highland Park, Michigan to Doreen Huddleston Carr of Cookeville and the late Earl Ray Carr.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donny Carlton Carr.David's father Earl grew up in the Boma Community and mother Doreen in the Mt. Herman Community of Putnam County. After they married in 1951 they went north for work. They raised their children in Michigan.
