Melissa Healy Obituary

Melissa P. (nee Petze) Healy passed away on April 13, 2023. She is the beloved wife of the late Richard Healy. She is the loving aunt of Kristin B. (Sean) Carroll and the grandniece Moira C. Carroll. She leaves behind a wide circle of dear friends, who'll miss her legendary annual Christmas party, her fellow volunteers, her beloved housemates Oreo and Peebles, and George Clooney. Melissa (Lisa) was born on March 3, 1941, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Edwards and Barbara (nee White) Petze. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for several companies and in one of her favorite roles, helped Chef Fritz Blank, owner and executive chef of the legendary Deux Cheminees restaurant in Center City archive his culinary-related collection destined for the University of Pennsylvania. After her retirement, she devoted her time as a volunteer to a diverse range of organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and in her hometown of Penn Wynne, the Library Board, Business Association, Fire Company, and Civic Association twice serving as Grand Marshall for their 4th of July parade. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of her Life Luncheon at McCall Golf Club 201 N.
