Mazie Bach Caudill, age 92, of Green Valley Acres, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023, at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville. Born March 29, 1931, in Perry County, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her parents, Delmo and Mamie Gross Miniard; and her husband, John Bach, the father of her children, and her husband, Wilburn "Woody" Caudill; two brothers, Vernon Miniard and George Miniard; and one sister: Mable Burkley. She is survived two children to cherish her memory: a son, Stanley Bach and wife Frances, and a daughter, Mary Lynn Thomas and husband Bobby, all of Jackson, Kentucky; five grandchildren: Bobby Shaun Thomas, Shannon Thomas Nickles, Carrie Bach States, Vicky Bach, and Jeremy Bach; seven great grandchildren: Jaren Nickles, Samuel Thomas, Johnathan Thomas, Leighton States, Lawson States, Jeremy Carl Bach, Luke Bach, and Lizzie Bach; and a great-great granddaughter. Other survivors include one brother: Odell Miniard of London, Kentucky; five sisters: Frances Cornett of Slemp, Kentucky, Tommy Jean Smith of Central City, Kentucky, Gladine Shephard of Gordon, Kentucky, Marjorie Holbrook of Switzer, West Virginia, and Carolyn Pratt of Monticello, Kentucky, as well as extended family and friends. Mazie graduated from Morehead State University and began her long career as a teacher in a one-room school in Breathitt County. She enjoyed reading, watching television, making crafts, and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith. Mazie will be greatly missed and remembered with love. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 11 a. m. until 12 noon at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals with a graveside service immediately following at 12:15 p. m. at Brown Cemetery with Pastor Joey Damron officiating. Mamie Pendleton, age 71 of Owingsville, passed away at her residence on Saturday after fighting a long battle with cancer. Born in Rowan County on November 4, 1952 the daughter of the late John Riddle and Mary McCarty Riddle. Mamie was a beautician for many years. She loved to talk with people and never met a stranger. Being a homemaker and caring for her family meant everything to her. She loved to cook and to watch cooking shows to learn new recipes. Mamie also loved to draw. Anything outdoors was a favorite of hers from fishing to gardening and working in her flowers. She loved her dog, Angel and spoiled her. Mamie loved her grandchildren so much. She was one they could talk to about anything and know that she would help them when needed. Strong, determined and loving are just some words that can be used to describe her. Mamie fought a long battle but always showed strength and still wanted to help others despite what she was dealing with. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Roberts (Chris Crouch); Teresa Lewis (Bill Otis) and Lisa Pendleton; one brother, Nookie Riddle (Kathy); four grandchildren, Dylan Roberts, Noah Roberts, Freedom Lewis and Reef Lewis; two great grandchildren; a special nephew, Herbie Riddle; three special nieces, Mary K. Shoemaker, April Riddle Wilson and Crystal Riddle; a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Pendleton and one brother, Morton Riddle. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21 at 1:00 p. m. in the chapel of the Richardson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a. m. until time of the service. Tammy Wilson, age 59, passed away on Saturday, November 18. She was born on February 11, 1964 in Montgomery County to Janice Little and the late Charles Little. Tammy was a member of the Northside Church of God and adored her church family. She worked as a caregiver to many throughout her life as a CNA and private care. Tammy was a wonderful mother to her children and many others. Cooking for her family was something that brought her much happiness. She loved to be surrounded by them and to be able to play with her grandchildren. Tammy enjoyed playing the piano and many card nights with friends. She was a lover of all animals, especially her dogs, Benji and Gracie. Tammy brought joy and laughter to her family and friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. Her kindness and loving ways will be missed by all those she leaves behind. May the family forever cherish the wonderful memories they have of her and continue to share the stories to keep her memory alive. George Purvis, age 77 of Owingsville, passed away at his residence on November 5, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 28, 1946 in Bath County to the late Granville Purvis and Jane Cooper Purvis. George was a member of the Owingsville First Church of God. He was a janitor for Bath County Schools for many years before retiring. George loved working on his farm and being outdoors. He loved his family and spending time with them. George loved to visit and share stories about the old times. Being a papaw was so special to him. He enjoyed spoiling all of his grandchildren. A loving husband, a wonderful father and a great papaw are just some of the things he was. George was a kind, humble, simple man that will be missed by all that he leaves behind. May his family always cherish the memories they have with him. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Bussell Purvis; one son, Dwayne Purvis and his wife, Jodi; one daughter, Pam Purvis; two sisters, Tammy Terrell and her husband, Charlie; Barbara Emmons; four grandchildren, Justin, Brady, Reagan and Rae-Leigh Purvis. Lowell Blaine Jamison, age 75 of Owingsville, passed away at his home on September 21. He was born on August 25, 1948 in Mount Sterling to the late Sterling Jamison and Opal Adams Jamison. Lowell was a farmer, owned Jamison Construction and was former Bath County Judge Executive. He loved old cars and to drive up around Cave Run Lake. Lowell was very proud of his children and loved his family. He loved being a grandfather the most. Lowell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by those he leaves behind.
