Maxine Jackson Obituary

Maxine Euphemia (Gillespie)Jackson, of Windsor and beloved wife of Milton Jackson Sr passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Fresh River Health Center, East Windsor. She was born on November 15, 1967 in Portland, Jamaica WI to the late David Gillespie and the late Marjorie Speid. Maxine migrated to the US in 1992. She was educated at Dunrobin Primary School and Meadowbrook High School in Jamaica. She also worked for the Tradeboard Jamaica. Besides being a devoted mother and a prayer warrior, she enjoyed reading the Bible, listening to church sermons and loved to cook. She is survived by sons, Milton Jackson IV (Windsor) and Jared Jackson (Windsor), Sisters Mitzie Simpson-Andrade (Windsor) and Beneca Boucher (East Hartford), aunt Bernice Clarke (Canada), Uncles Eon Campbell (Jennifer) (Jamaica), Albert Campbell (Jamaica) and Benjamin Lowe (Jamaica)Nephews Garrett Andrade and Gregory Andrade, niece Victoria Boucher and a host of cousins and friends. Maxine was predeceased by her parents, Marjorie Speid and David Gillespie, aunts Eunice Lowe and Paulette Thomas, uncle Preistnel Lowe and grandmother Lillian WaltersThe family will receive friends on Friday April 28, 2023 from 10:00 am - 11;00 am, with the service to follow 11;00 am at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Ave, Windsor, Connecticut. Burial will be at the Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield, Connecticut.
