He was united in marriage June 1, 1980 to his wife of 43 years, Muriel Whitt Maynard, who survives. Also surviving are his children, C.J. (Miranda Garrett) Maynard of Waverly, Ohio, Martha Maynard of Chillicothe, Ohio, Kim Maynard of Columbus, Ohio, and Jennifer Maynard, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, Charlotte (Bud) Blackburn of Jackson, Ohio, Dianna Durham of Jackson, Ohio, Deborah Immel of Jackson, Ohio, Norman (Connie) Maynard of Beaver, Ohio, and James (Tonya) Maynard of Piketon, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Tiffany Maynard, Jessica Maynard, and Michelle Hilton, one brother, Greg Maynard, two infant sisters, Christina Maynard and Justine Maynard, his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Irene Maynard, and two brothers-in-law, Sam Immel and Chuck Durham. Montgomery and Nola Mae (Gullett) Montgomery. On July 4, 1978 he was united in marriage to Robin (Wilson) Montgomery who survives.He is also survived by a son, Brandon (Nikki) Montgomery; a grandson, Memphis Montgomery; three sisters, Shirley Maloney, Charlene (Verlin) Caudill, and Sherry (Al) Ferguson; two brothers, Herman (Joyce) Montgomery, Jr, and Gary (Cindy) Montgomery; a brother-in-law, Jason Wilson; sister-in-law, Lilly Montgomery, and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, James Wilson, mother-in-law, Levonda Wilson, a brother, Donald Ray Montgomery; a sister-in-law, Audrey Wilson, and a brother-in-law, Roger Maloney.Rodney was a millwright mechanic at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Larry Bruce Langford, 74, of Evans, WV, passed away January 11, 2024, at The Pavilion at Piketon, following an extended illness. He was born October 6, 1949, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Walter Bruce and Juanita (Rhodes) Langford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert Bruce Langford. Larry was a 1967 graduate of Ripley High School and a member of the Ripley Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Ripley Lodge #16, AF & AM. He retired from the United Mine Workers as a Heavy Equipment Operator with 20 years of service. Larry drove truck for several years and had the handle name “Heavy Duty”. He enjoyed model airplanes, fishing, trains, photography, hunting, and attending dragstrip races. Left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 54 years, Janet (Broscious) Langford; daughters, Monica Jones and husband, Richard of Ripley, Marsha Paugh and husband, Danny of Evans, Melissa Lucas and husband, Michael of Huntington; grandchildren, Natasha, Jarrett, Faith, and Blake. Service will be 7 p.m., Monday January 15, 2024, at Ripley Church of Christ, 112 Jackson Ave. Ripley, WV, with Minister Keenan Goosman officiating. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until time of service on Monday, at the church. Private entombment will be at Jackson County Memory Gardens with a Masonic Service by the Ripley Lodge #16. , born May 3, 1945, passed away in the evening of January 3, 2024 at Piketon Nursing Center. She was born in Toledo, Oh. She was raised in Maumee, Oh. After graduating from Maumee high school, she remained in Maumee to raise her family. In 1997 she moved to Zephyrhills, Fl to live her best life. She made many friends there who became her family. In 2013 she moved to Lucasville, Oh to spend her remaining years with her son, Paul and his wife Tonjya, closer to all her grandchildren. Over the years she had many visits from her loved ones and made many great memories that will last us a lifetime. She loved crafts, board games, soap operas and anything Elvis. Her favorite thing was her family. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Timothy B Williams, her son Edward A Williams, her Aunt Mary Sevey, her Uncle Delmar Sevey, her brother Joe Kinder and her sister Chloe Walters. She is survived by her son Paul A Williams, daughter in law Tonjya T Williams, and their children, Jamie Williams, Jacob Williams, Jessica sherman, and Joshua Williams. She is also survived by her sisters Barbara Schramm and Suzan Kosch. Also surviving her are her grandchildren Leann Williams, Diana Williams, Rachel Williams, Amanda Williams, Ryan Williams and TJ Williams. Also many great grandchildren. Many thanks to the Piketon Nursing Center where she resided for the last three months. And thank you to Buckeye Hospice for everything you’ve done and continue to do. She was born January 21, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elliott Patterson Slagle and Suellen Rose Slagle who survives. Christine was a vibrant soul that had a smile and a laugh that was contagious. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. She loved her animals, music (Barry Manilow), and anything related to space, including Star Wars and Star Trek. Also surviving are two sisters, Julianne (Brian) Bourdon, and Kathryn Slagle; and a nephew, Samuel Bourdon. Julie was born December 26, 1933 in Orkney, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Dee Howell and Polly (Mosley) Howell. On October 11, 1949 she was united in marriage to Curt Elliott, who preceded her in death May 23, 1982. She is survived by four sons, Arthur "Bub" (Freda) Elliott, Jack (Brenda) Elliott, Larry G. (Paula) Elliott, and Bo (Mary) Elliott, three daughters, Patty Elliott, Ellnore Witt, and Dee Dee (Don) Dingus, twenty-two grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and two brothers, Dallas Howell, and Olvin (Dricilla) Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Eddie Dee Elliott, four grandsons, Kevin Elliott, Steven Elliott, T. J. Rigsby, and Shawn Dingus, a great-granddaughter, Zoie Puckett, nine brothers, James, Claude, Earl, Homer, Eugene, Estell, Abe, Donald, and Dee Howell, and four sisters, Hettie Hall, Olive Hall, Lucy Howell, and Ruth Howell. "Rayburn Spaulding, 81, of Piketon, Ohio passed away on October 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 21, 1942 in Kermit, WV to the late Bryant Spaulding and Jenettie Parsley Spaulding. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Ann Spaulding; his son, Deron Spaulding, his daughter, Connie (Spaulding) Keller, and his granddaughters, Audrey (Michael Lowry) Keller and Kimberly Keller (Matthew Cottrill), whom he adored. He is also survived by, four sisters, Nora Meade, Connie (David) May, Iva (Grady) Romans and Emma Faye Fader and his in-laws, Claudette Dillon, Edwina Dillon and Edward Dillon. He is joyfully reunited with his parents, Jenettie and Bryant Spaulding, one son, Okey Spaulding, siblings, Effie (Herbert) Meade, Tennessee (Dana) Hannah, Juanita"Peach" (Okey) Harrison, Sesco Spaulding, Joe Bryant Dingess and Elbert (Mary) Spaulding; mother and father in law, Claude and Nora Dillon and brother and sister in-laws, James, Tom, George, Dallas, Daniel, Frank and Douglas Dillon, Wanda Vance and Margaret Dillon. Rayburn proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He loved walking in the woods and finding interesting patterns in the trees and rocks. He was excellent at hunting for four-leaf clovers. Whether he found a good natural walking stick or a shamrock, he loved to share his luck with others. Rayburn was a lifelong music lover and enjoyed singing with his family. He will be dearly missed by family and community members. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the God\u0027s Little White Church, Left Fork of Marrowbone Creek, Kermit, WV with John David Messer officiating.
