Maude Stallings Obituary

"Maude Ann Stallings departed this life on Sunday May 7, 2023, in Maryland Heights, Missouri. She was born on August 7, 1941, in Tarboro, North Carolina, to Elzie Honey Jones and Isabella Ceaphus. She graduated from Carver High School in Newport News, Virginia. Maude was fondly known as Ann. She was one of 7 children born to Elzie H. Jones and Isabella Ceaphus- Jones. Before coming to St. Louis in 2004, she lived in Newport News, Virginia where she attended Providence Baptist Church. She had an impact on all those she touched. Maude loved here family as well as her Parkwood Skilled Nursing Home family. She was a fun-loving women always walking fast and ready for the next adventure serving the residence as well as the staff at Parkwood with goodies and snacks. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to go. She loved music and Ale Green was one of her favorites. She had an infectious smile and she never let her illness hold her back; She made the best of what she could do. Maude enjoyed life to the fullest. Maude was preceded in death by her Mother Isabella Ceaphus -Jones and her Father Elzie Honey Jones, her brothers Richard Jones, Willie Jones, Hamidullah Shabazz, and Sister Hilda Williams. Left to Cherish her memories are: daughters Cheryl Murphy (Steve) McNeal, Helen Stallings, Sons Jesse (Vera) Stallings, Clinton (Love) Stallings, brother Elzie Shabazz, and sister Isabell Jones (12) Grandchildren, (9) Great Grandchildren (1) Great Great Grand Child along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, and relatives.
