Antonio Iannacito Obituary Brunswick - Antonio Onorato Iannacito, known affectionately to all as Tony, suddenly passed away at Albany Medical Center on December 1, 2023. Born on October 16, 1939, in Roccasicura, Italy, Tony's journey spanned 84 years of a life marked by love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. Tony's story began in the picturesque hills of Roccasicura, Italy but truly flourished when he ventured to the United States with his father at the age of 16, seeking new horizons. His beloved mother and siblings joined them later, reuniting the family in the land of opportunity. With a passion for craftsmanship and style, Tony pursued his dreams and graduated from the Troy School of Beauty Culture in 1962. His career in hairdressing blossomed, and in 1969, he proudly opened Tony Of Italy beauty salon. For 62 years, Tony's salon was not just a place of business but a welcoming space where friendships were formed, and it was there he continued to work right up to his last days. The heart of Tony's world was his family. Predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe Iannacito and Anna Maria Funaro Iannacito, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Donna. Their bond was the cornerstone of a vibrant family life, which included their children Marisa (Giovanni) of Clifton Park, Marcella (Meysam) of Los Angeles, CA, and Joseph (Natalia) of Houston, TX. Tony's joy was multiplied by his grandchildren, Michael and Andrew Tedesco, Gianna and Gino Foroughi, and Gabriela, Katalina, and Leila Iannacito. His siblings, Lucia (late Evelino) Di Fiore, Maria (John) Debboli, John (Joann) Iannacito, and Lena (Roger) Pradhan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends, will fondly remember him. Tony's zest for life extended beyond his immediate family. He was a man of many interests, always eager to engage in the simple pleasures that brought him the most joy. Whether it was savoring the fruits of his labor in the garden, cheering on his favorite soccer teams, or crafting homemade wine and sausage, Tony embraced these activities with enthusiasm. He was known for his fabulous dancing, a testament to his fun-loving nature. His "goombahs," a group of friends he cherished for over 60 years, will miss the regular gatherings that were filled with stories, laughter, and camaraderie. Described by those who knew him as loving, funny, hardworking and spirited, Tony leaves behind a legacy of joy and resilience. He approached life with a sense of humor and a belief that every moment was an opportunity for connection and celebration. He loved family dinners and holiday gatherings, where he could be found at the center of it all, sharing stories and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Tony's own words, "Beautiful Journey," encapsulate his outlook on life. His legacy is one that speaks to a life well-lived and a man well-loved. As we bid farewell to Tony, we honor a life that was full to the brim with passion, joy, and an unyielding commitment to family and friends. Tony's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love that he so freely gave.
