Mary Wideman, 95, formerly of Luzerne passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Allied Center City Nursing Facility where she resided for the past few years. She was born June 2, 1927 a daughter of the late Steven and Mary Luksic Wooditch. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School and Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business. Mary was a member of Holy Family Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Wideman in 1994 and brother, William Wooditch. The family would like to thank the staff of Allied Services Center City for the wonderful care that they provided. Surviving are her children, Carol Zehosky and her husband Paul, Shippensburg, Charles Wideman and his wife Barbara, Luzerne, and Margaret Mayer and her husband, Todd, Dallas Township grandchildren, Carl Zehosky, Warren Mayer; great granddaughters, Hannah and Emilie; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Marsh; several cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a. m. from Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home, Ltd, 568 Bennett Street, Luzerne. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 a. m. until the time of the service.
