Mary Smith Obituary

Mary Kathryn Smith, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, May 8, 2023 at her home. Services: 10:30 a. m. , Friday, May 12, 2023 at Teahen Funeral Home by Penny Ackerman. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may visit with the family on Friday after 9:30 a. m. prior to the service. Mary is survived by her daughter, Lonna (Dan) Bisaillon of Fairfax; 3 grandchildren, Talen, Easton and Nash Bisaillon; four siblings, Mark Seber, Jan (Matt) Dostal, Ann (Robert) Allee and Chris Seber all of Cedar Rapids; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jeff Seber. Mary was born on May 23, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of John and Elaine Petrusch Seber. She graduated in 1979 from Jefferson High School and worked as a Senior Project Controller for Vontas. Mary enjoyed girl trips with her daughter/best friend, Lonna. She liked to visit casinos, shopping and having girl's nights. Mary loved family time, especially playing ball with her grand boys and will be missed by many. Memorials may be directed to the family for an established memorial fund of their choice.
