Mary Anna Webster Ryman, 96, of Woodstock, VA entered into her eternal rest on September 15, 2023, at 11:25 PM. Mary was born on September 11, 1927, in Zepp, VA to the late Floyd Calvin Webster and Vallie Maude Webster. She was the widow of the late Ernest Calvin Ryman. Surviving are her sister, Letha Fravel, her sons Floyd C. Ryman (Jean), James M. Ryman (Janet), Dwayne S. Ryman (Jane), and her daughter Mary J. Huffman (Allen). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and twenty-five great great grandchildren. Mary retired from Blue Bell/Wrangler after thirty plus years of service. She was a faithful member of her community volunteering at the Woodstock Moose, Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Clothes Closet, and Food Bank. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, taking cruises, and spending time with friends and family. Mary was known as a very caring, accepting, giving, and forgiving person. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23 from 2-3 PM at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg, VA. This will follow with a service at 3 PM at Valley Funeral Service with a concluding procession at Sunset View Cemetery. Pastor PG Coverstone will officiate. Pallbearers will be Corey Ryman, Colbey Ryman, Mark Drummonds, Zackary Broy, Matthew Davila, and Ryan Szuchy. Jackson, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 2 at 10:00 a. m. at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. Pastor Steve Wood will officiate. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in New Market. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Stover was born August 19, 1935, in Washington D. C. , daughter of the late Turner J. Funkhouser Sr. and Audrey Mumaw Funkhouser. She was a 1953 graduate of Triplett High School and formerly worked as a telephone operator for Shentel, waitress at MD's and Southern Kitchen in New Market. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Basye and VFW post 2447 in Edinburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Sonny" Stover and two sisters, Joan E. Bassett and Peggy Ann Micer. She is survived by a sister, Patsy Jaret Shaffner of Englewood, FL; two brothers, Turner J. Funkhouser Jr. of Harrisonburg and Eugene Miller of Lebanon Church; a foster son and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donnie Carter, Scott Findley, Duane Stover, Junior Stover, Johnny Stover and Jason Haker. Ruby Alice Dellinger, 98, of Edinburg, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 19, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 11:00 am at Christ United Church of Christ in Conicville, VA with Rev. Stephanie Heishman-Litten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Ruby was born December 25, 1924, in Conicville, a daughter of the late Gasper Washington Wolfe and Grace Florence Foltz Wolfe. She graduated from Triplett High School. She was a member of her beloved Church, Christ UCC Conicville. She attended her Church for 93 years. She was a charter member of the Women's Guild, which was started in 1939. She worked tirelessly for her Church baking her famous caramel cakes, coconut pies, fried chicken, and gallons of tea. Ruby started her working career at Orkney Springs Hotel at the age of 15. Blue Ridge Poultry, Windsor Knit, and retired from Aileen after 22 years. She was married to the late Alton Dellinger. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Perron (Ronald), Linda Dellinger, Brenda Dellinger all of Edinburg, VA; two grandchildren, Matthew Perron (Amanda), Katie Wakeman (TJ); two great grandchildren, (Peek-a-boo) as she so fondly called Asher Lucas Wakeman and Faith Rose Perron; one sister-in-law, Marvene Gochenour; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Charles Wolfe; and sister, Imogene Wert. Pallbearers will be Matthew Perron, Ronald Perron, TJ Wakeman, Clayton Frye, William Andrews, and BC Andrews. Louis Lavon Hamrick, 83, of Woodstock passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Greenfield Senior Living in Woodstock. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 2:00pm at Saumsville Cemetery. Pastor Jonathan Fletcher will officiate. Louie was born August 12, 1940, in Virginia to the late Dallas Gideon and Evelyn Wilkin Hamrick. He attended barber school in 1961 and was the owner of Central Barber Shop where he cut hair for 40 years. He was a member of Zion Christian Church and was a member of the Royal Arch in Edinburg, Knights Templar in Luray, and Casia Masonic Lodge 142. He is survived by his significant other of 40 years, Janelle Seekford; daughter, Linda Lynn Funkhouser of Woodstock; son, Steven Louis Hamrick of Woodstock; siblings, Janice Sine (Eldred), Donald Hamrick (Joyce), Kenneth Hamrick (Debbie), Darlene Lindamood (Richard); five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. "The staff at Heishman Funeral Home Inc. sends condolences to the family of Richard Carroll Orndorff. Richard Carroll Orndorff, 93, of New Market, VA, passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at home. Richard was born June 18, 1930 in Mount Jackson, VA, the first of two sons to the late Loring and Hilda Orndorff. After graduating from high school, he worked for the Southern Railroad at Charlottesville, VA as a Telegraph Operator and Leverman. In 1951, Richard joined the U. S. Army serving as a high-speed radio operator, managing a team of 3 other radiomen who coordinated military radiograms concerning equipment and personnel deployment. After his honorable discharge in 1953, he returned to the Southern Railroad. He married the late Grace Louise Wastler Orndorff of Thurmont, MD in 1955. He began his career with the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) in 1960, retiring from his position as a Steam Engineer and Shift Supervisor in 1990. He and Grace raised two children while living in Vienna, VA. After the children were grown and married, Richard and Grace moved to New Market in 1990, settling into the community as treasured friends and active volunteers in many local organizations. Richard was an active member of the Mount Jackson Lions Club, and the United Methodist Men of the Mount Jackson United Methodist Church. Richard and Grace enjoyed their retirement together cruising the world and other travels, and enjoyed their winters in Florida with their friends. Richard is survived by his brother Beverly Orndorff of Richmond, VA, his daughter Joyce Roberts (Matthew) of North Carolina and his son Randall Orndorff (Jacqueline Malvaiz) of Leesburg, VA. Richard is also survived by three grandchildren, Jacob Roberts (Wendy), Turner Orndorff and Kat Orndorff, as well as a great granddaughter, Zarea Brunick. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 26, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm at the Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg, VA. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 27, at 10:00 am at the Mt. (Aunt Cheita) Rhinehart, 88, of Woodstock passed, Friday, November 10th, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center. She was born August 4th, 1935, in New Market, VA, to the late Catherine V. Olinger and the late Taff Olinger. In addition to the late, George Robert Rhinehart and late brother, Charles Wayne Olinger. Virginia worked and retired from Shenandoah County Public School systems after 30 years of service, as an instructional aide. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2447 Auxiliary, she loved her church family at the Shenandoah Community Fellowship Family, as well as her family at the Warren Ladies Home. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Melissa Seal and son-in-law William (Bill) Seal; sister-in-law, Shirley Golladay; 3 Grandchildren, Amanda Reedy, Angela Seal and Meaghan Jenkins; 7 Great Grandchildren, Miah Bowman, Camden Reedy, Ohklee Reedy, Derek Seal, Alex Seal, Adriana Lagunas and Addison Evers; as well as several loving nephews and nieces, and special loving family friend, Andy Bowman. Charles "Charlie" Edward Funkhouser, son of the late Athey and Clarissa Barb Funkhouser, was born in Basye, VA on February 11, 1948. Charlie passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 75. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 1:00pm at VFW post 2447 in Edinburg, VA. A meal will follow. Charlie was a Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. Charlie proudly served his country and was a member of the VFW Post 2447 and the American Legion Post 199. Charlie was a strong man who overcame many obstacles but never allowed them to dampen his spirit or enjoyment of life. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Stella, James, Robert, and Eugene. Charlie is survived by his wife, Kimberly; daughter, Angela; stepdaughters, Dee (Dale) and Amy; grandchildren, Mariah, Denzel, Clayton, Joe, and Blake; and great grandchildren, Javonte, Argustus, Zayvion, Ellizen. Charlie also leaves behind his sisters, Sheldon, Mary, Ellen, and brother, Andrew. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, dominos, fishing, hunting, and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.
