Mary Reese Obituary

Mary Mae Burton was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Monday, December 17, 1928. She was the daughter of Fannie Mae Naylor and reared by William Coleman, Sr. Mary moved to Ohio at an early age. She held many domestic jobs during her lifetime. Mary, however, was most proud of her employment with the State of Ohio as a receptionist, for she was able to assist others with their daily needs. Mary was a member of God's Way Ministries International Church, where she attended service faithfully every Sunday. Mary was loved dearly by her family, but do not be mistaken, she was very set in her ways. The Lord called our beloved Mary Wade Reese home to glory on Saturday, April 15, 2023. She was blessed with ninety-four years of life. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Mae and William Coleman, Sr. ; her sons, Jerry Lionel Burton and Paul Fredrick Reese; daughter-in-law, Ruthann Burton; grandson, Nelson Dion Burton; great grandson, Darius J'Rell Lee Winters; and brothers, Raymond Coleman, William Coleman Jr. , and John Henry Naylor. Mary will be greatly missed by her remaining children, Wanda Karen Hairston, John (LaDonna) Charles Wade Jr. , Ardelia Faye Conyers, Harvey Lamont Wade, Kathy Lorraine Wade, Teena Denise Wade, Harvey Thomas Reese Jr. , and Sheila Reese. Mary's legacy continues through her twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-seven great grandchildren; eighteen great-great grandchildren; her God's Way Ministries family; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
