Mary Edith Neikirk was born February 26, 1944 in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. She met her "sweetie", Mike, in Church Hill, Tennessee and they married on May 31, 1963 in Rogersville, Tennessee. Soon after, they relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. In 1965, Mary began working at Martin Industries and worked there until they closed in 2000. She then started a second career working at SCI/Sanmina until her retirement in 2021. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Kim Neikirk; Her grandsons, Jeremy Ewert (Sarah), and Daniel Neikirk, by her granddaughter, Anna Kitts (Tyler), and her great-grandson, Jackson Ewert who she lovingly referred to as her "little sunshine. " She is also survived by her brother, Darryl Williams, and a whole host of nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; by her parents, David & Maggie Williams; by her brothers: Don, Ralph, and Burl Williams; by her sister, Janice Williams. Mary will be remembered for her outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger, and for being a blessing to others. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Debra Bryant Roth of Toney went to be with the Lord on Thursday while surrounded by her loving family. She was 70. She had retired from Bellsouth after almost 30 years. Deb was known as a sweet and caring person whose vibrant, loving spirit was a blessing to all those who came into contact with her. She was a strong Christian who believed in grace, mercy, and love, and was a devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green. She was preceded in death by the love of her life of almost 47 years, Stanton L. Roth; Her grandson, Austin Stanton Roth; Her dad, Joseph Bryant; Her mother, Jean Lyons. Surviving family members include her daughter, April Roth Gulotta; Her son, Brian Stanton Roth; Her daugher-in-law, Brea Roth; Her grandchildren: Branson Roth, Chandler Roth, Mya Roth, and Gigi Gulotta; Her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon "Sis" & Jimmy McClure; Her brother, Michael Bryant; Her niece, Jennifer McClure; Her nephew, Steven McClure and his wife, Marissa; Her great-nephew, Noah "Baby Superman" McClure; Her great-niece, Emma "Cakes" McClure; Her mother-in-law, Joyce Scott. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5pm until 7pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki and Pastor Drake Whitten officiating. Rachel Holman Tanley, 93, passed away November 24, 2023. Rachel was born to Mary and Lee Holman on April 15, 1930. She attended Draughon Business college in Nashville, Tennessee and retired from John Blue Company after 45 years. Rachel was a longtime member and officer, including a past president, of the Huntsville Pilot Club. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and attended games with her family until just a few years ago. She was a proud mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. Rachel enjoyed cooking for her family and was famous for her Sunday pot roast and banana pudding! She was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Elah StClair and brother-in-law Bill, her brother, Paul Holman and sister-in-law, Vera, and her daughter- in-law, Lydia Lawler Tanley. She is survived by her son Richard Tanley of New Market, her daughter, Gayle Milton of Huntsville, grandchildren Kris Tanley (Kinzi) of Trussville, Hannah Holland (Trent) of Trussville, Kasie Barber (Andrew) of Huntsville, great grandchildren Harrison Tanley, Kate Holland, Emma Barber, Oliva Tanley, Samuel Holland, and Jack Holland. She is also survived by her sister Jean Allen of Huntsville and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Ann Parton for three years of wonderful care for Rachel wherever she was needed. There will be a lunch/reception following at the home of Richard Tanley in New Market. Emily Judge, age 65 of Hazel Green, Alabama, peacefully left this life on November 21, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on October 8, 1958, to Robert and Cordie (Moorehead) Mitchell. Emily was married for forty-six years to Carl Judge, the love of her life. She was a lifelong member of Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She raised two children who knew every day that she loved them. Emily enjoyed cross stitch, sewing, and going to church. She found immense joy in taking and displaying photos of her family. She was a loving and involved grandmother who showered her grandchildren with hugs, gifts, and attention. Most importantly, she fulfilled her life's goal: to be an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She was liked and loved by all who knew her. She was selfless, generous, and kind. She will be missed. Emily was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mitchell; and sister, Betty Stephens. She is survived by her husband, Carl Judge; son, Adam (Juliana); daughter, Karen (Andy) Kennedy; beloved dog, Holly Mae; mother, Cordie Mitchell; brother, Byron (Cynthia) Mitchell; sister, Ruth (Wayne) Wright; and grandchildren, Jaxom, Imriel, Liam, Liadan, Gatlin, and Linus Kennedy. Linda Faye Hudspeth Mizell left her earthly body to be with her Lord and Savior on November 16, 2023, at the age of 81. Linda was born to Max and Mary Hudspeth in 1942 in Dothan Alabama. She was raised in, and would forever call, Marietta Georgia home. She graduated from Marietta High School and afterwards attended the defining educational institution of her life, at Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1963. The skills and training received at Piedmont Hospital, she carried with her to multiple hospitals and caregiving offices in Kentucky, Georgia, and Alabama. In 1980, she and her husband, Dr. Terrence A Mizell, settled in Hazel Green Alabama and had their son, Mark. Linda spent nearly twenty years of her life dutifully attending to the medical needs of her community as a nurse for Dr. Charles Merryman at the New Market Clinic. She saw to her family's spiritual needs as a faithful member of Hazel Green United Methodist and New Market United Methodist, where she was a member at the time of her passing. Linda rejoiced in her community and the countless friendships she fostered. The happiest moments of her life were spending time with her grandson, Alex. She received her most desired promotion to "Gammy. " The stories of Linda's gentle hand with the instruments of nursing and her bedside manner resonate through Madison County Alabama from nearly everyone who knew her or was a patient of New Market Clinic. Her dutiful attendance and willingness to support her churches in any manner her Lord required made her a beloved friend and member of her congregations. One of her personally proudest accomplishments was her continued mastery of the simple southern dishes she learned to prepare from her mother. Whether it was her immediate family, church gatherings, delivered dishes during difficult times, the Hazel Green High School football team, or the members of her son's college fraternity, no one ever left her table hungry. One of her greatest pleasures in life was preparing a meal for her loved ones. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Max and Mary Hudspeth. Linda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Terrence, her son Mark (Nicole), and her grandson Alexander. She is also survived by her sisters Susan Hargrove (Tim) and Barbara Sircy (Don). Services for Linda will be held at the Hazel Green Funeral Home on December 2, 2023. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 am till 11:00 am, with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 am. Nowel Robert Price was born on December 7, 2007, in Cartersville, GA to parents Bruce and Maria Price. Nowel went to rest in heavenly paradise on November 16th, 2023 at the age of 15. From a young age, Nowel was well known amongst all the teachers in his school, family, friends, and even in his neighborhood to be a kind-hearted, humorous little boy. As a selfless individual, he spent his life making sure those closest to him were happy and always had a deep compassion for helping people. Nowel was a guiding light to many people who crossed paths with him. He was a peacemaker and a genuine reflection of his inner resilience and strength. He was an avid lover of sports, and in his young life he played baseball, soccer, and had a special love for basketball. He even got involved in a karate class at the age of six. Nowel was also very passionate in his love of music. Self taught in the drums and electric guitar, he enjoyed learning new songs as it came easy for him. Aside from making music, he spent most of his time listening to music and creating playlists. He dreamt of traveling the world and enlisting in the Army. Nowel will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call a son, brother, and friend. Nowel is survived by his beloved parents, Bruce and Maria; his sisters, Victoria and Melissa; his aunts and uncles; his beloved cat Leonardo; and his many, many close friends.
