Mary Margaret Seale McPhail passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023, at her home in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She was 79 years old. She was born in Water Valley, Mississippi on December 8, 1943, to Carson T. Seale and Louise Simpson Seale. She retired from Atmos Entergy after many years of service. In the earlier years, she was a member of the Rolling Fork Garden Club. She was a member of Rolling Fork First Baptist Church and taught in the preschool department. She loved her family, hosting family reunions and following R. J. and Drew to every sporting event. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Charles Ray McPhail, brother, Ted W. Seale, son, Philip Oxner, III, granddaughter, Keely Oxner, and grandson, Drew McClendon. She is survived by her children: Beth McClendon (Jeff) of Rolling Fork, MS, Eric McPhail (Angie) of Muldrow, OK, Renea Robertson (Eddie) of Sumrall, MS, Chuck McPhail of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, R. J. McClendon (Lara) of Senath, MO, Amber England of Muldrow, OK, Kayla Williams (Michael) of Van Buren, AR, Robert McPhail (Angela) of Charleston, AR, Trey Robertson (Robbie) of Perkinston, MS, Adam (Kayla) Robertson of Sumrall, MS and Hannah McPhail of Vidalia, LA and 6 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Rolling Fork First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 2, 2023, with Pastor Millard Caulder officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. with the service at 11:00 a. m. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery of Rolling Fork, MS. Pallbearers will be Eric McPhail, Jeff McClendon, R. J. Don H. "IKE" Collins was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on January 21, 1928. His twin brother James G. "Mike" Collins preceded him in death on September 12, 2001. He graduated from Rolling Fork High School in 1946 and attended Mississippi College. He and his twin brother owned and operated a Pure Oil Service Station in Rolling Fork and a Gulf Oil Distribution in Anguilla. Ike spent four years as an Electrician Technician in the United States Air Force, 677 Aircraft Control and Waring Squadron. After his time in the U. S. Air Force, he and his wife, Florine Kirby Collins, moved to Anguilla, MS where they raised their four children. Ike had the privilege of serving as an elected official in Sharkey County for twenty-four years as the Chancery and Circuit Clerk. He served on the Legislation Committee in the Chancery Clerk Association and was the Veteran officer and Red Cross Director in Sharkey County. Some of Ike's accomplishments include being a member of the Anguilla Rotary Club where he served as president of the club and was honored to have forty years of Perfect Attendance. He was a Board member and President of the Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital for twelve years; President of the Board of Directors of the Betty Newman Mental Health Center; Member of the Anguilla Fire Department where he was Fire Chief for several years; and a Charter member of the Rolling Fork Lions Club. Ike was ordained as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Rolling Fork and taught the junior boys Sunday School class. While in Anguilla, he was the Church Treasurer of Anguilla Baptist Church for thirty-three years as well as a lifetime deacon and taught the Junior Boys Sunday School class. He was very active in the Sharkey-Issaquena Baptist Association serving as the Training Union Director and Treasurer. Ike was also a Member of the Mississippi Delta Baptist Student Union Directors Association, representing the Sharkey-Issaquena Baptist Association. Ike and his twin brother were very active in sports at Rolling Fork High School and later served as football and basketball officials in the Delta Officials Association. He played Semi-pro baseball for several years and played ball in the United States Air Force. He spent a number of years in the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. While serving as a Scout Master for Troop 142 and 145, Ike was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service in the Scouting Program. He was Chairman of the Advancement Committee for the Three River District Scouting Program which consisted of Yazoo, Sharkey and Issaquena Counties and was selected as one of the three Scout Masters to attend the National Boy Scout Jamboree in California. After 40+ years in Anguilla, Ike and Florine moved to Hattiesburg, MS where they became volunteers at Wesley Medical Center. During this time of service Ike received the Ben Broom Award for the highest number of volunteer work hours (total of 73,840 hours) from 2011-2016. Ike is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Florine Kirby Collins; his father, Thomas Jefferson Collins; his mother, Opal Johnson Collins; his twin brother James Gray (Mike) Collins and his sister Martha Ann Hiter. He is survived by his sister Janice Collins Wyatt (Kent) of Cleveland, MS; sister-in-law, Polly Collins of Rolling Fork, MS, his children, Don Haskell "Donnie" Collins, Jr. (Phyllis) of Madison, MS, Cissy Collins Smith (Johnny) of Rolling Fork, MS, Judy Collins Gill (John) of Sumrall, MS, Brenda Collins Lowery (Lance) of Raleigh, MS, twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P. M. on Monday, June 26, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork, MS. Visitation will be 2:00 P. M. till the hour of the service. Sheila Dianne "Candy" French, 72, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She was raised in Lake Providence, Louisiana and lived most of her life in the beautiful Delta. She was the beloved daughter of Cecil French and Vesta Van "Honey" Boyette French, who have preceded her in death. Dianne was married to Rouie Spencer Hattaway, Jr. , who preceded her in death. Mandy Hattaway was their only daughter until Dianne later married Wilson Hearn Harvey, Jr. His daughter Jennifer quickly became Dianne's second daughter through marriage. Dianne lovingly dedicated this part of her life to keeping the two girls active in church, school, and extracurricular activities. She was a proud and loving mother. This was reflected in the many photos she kept on display of these two beautiful girls and their families. Mandy Hattaway Windham is a Rolling Fork, Mississippi resident and is married to Thomas Grey Windham. Their two children, Helen Christine and Spencer Grey, filled "Candy's" life with an abundance of love. "Candy" lived down the street from Helen and Spencer. Being present and active in their lives brought her great joy! Jennifer Harvey Sabados is a resident of Duxbury, Massachusetts and is married to Jeff Sabados. "Candy" kept a close relationship with their children Adeline, Stella, and Harvey through their frequent visits and photos. "Candy" felt blessed to have five loving grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings and their respective spouses. Her sister, Vanice French (Baja California, Mexico) and two brothers, Kenneth French (New York City, New York) and Christopher French, (Kilbourne, Louisiana) will miss her dearly. Additionally, Dianne's nieces and nephews loved having her be a big part of their lives. For many years, Dianne enjoyed being part of book clubs, cooking clubs, and Bible Studies. She was quick to come to the aid of those in need. Dianne loved nature, pets, laughing, and being with her family and good friends. She will be dearly missed by us all. Betty Flynn Johnston passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at University of MS Medical Center. She was born in Holly Bluff, MS on December 23, 1939, and moved to Rolling Fork, MS at the age of 10. She graduated from Rolling Fork High School and attended University of Southern Mississippi. Betty worked for many years with elementary aged special needs children in Dekalb County Public School District in Dekalb County, GA. She moved to Jackson, MS in 1981 and retired from Mississippi State Hospital where she worked with special needs adults in the hospital's library. Betty also volunteered with the Alzheimer's Association MS Chapter. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Jackson MS and enjoyed singing in the Reflections Choir prior to moving into Willow Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William Kelvie Flynn and Alice Scarborough Flynn. She is survived by her sister, Patty Sue Flynn, two children, Raymond William Johnston (Julia) and Cynthia Johnston Douglas (Bud), and five grandchildren, Katherine Douglas Spencer (David), Emily Douglas Keen (Karl), Rachel Johnston Sanchez (Alex), Ellen Johnston Porter (Jason) and Jackson Joseph Johnston.
